Well worth it!

Hotel Weyanoke is a beautiful, historic hotel. The staff was friendly and check in was quick and easy. Our room was large, spacious, and nicely updated as was the bathroom. Longwood campus is right across the street and the downtown area just a short walk.

Mannnn. This hotel is Amazing to me. It has been remodled with an upscale decoror that made me feel Special💎 The young lady at checkin was knowleable of the area for food and drinks. She was a great pleasure to deal with... Looking so forward to my Next visit to my hometown.

Room was overpriced but it was all that was left in the area when I booked. Not worth 300+ dollars and I definitely wouldn’t recommend. The room was showing its wear and tear, one front desk person was nice the other was a bit rude. Got pizza from the restaurant and was honestly some of the worst I’ve had! I came to town to run a race and the friend who came with me felt the same. It was fine, but not worth any more money than a holiday inn express imo!

The hotel was really very nice, our room was excellent. Loved the little balcony where we could have coffee in the morning & wine in the evening. This probably sounds silly but the bathroom was so nice. Centrally located so you can park and walk most everywhere. I do think the Sat/Sun breakfast was over priced. I know everyplace charges taxes & fees but there were so many, especially $11. per day historical fee, and a tourism fee. All in all we had a great time, very relaxing & restful.

I liked how close the hotel was to the university. But, the parking lot was hard to find and once you found it there was a walk up stairs and a steep sidewalk to get to the hotel itself, so carrying a lot of baggage in was hard. The elevator (there was only one), was so unbelievably slow. The room was nice, but cold. I couldn't get the heating to work properly and the rooms and bathrooms had been nicely updated at some point, but showed a lot of wear and tear, rusty metal around the sink and mildewy woodwork in the shower and big cracks in the tile. The staff in the restaurant were wonderful, but the food was average and it was a Saturday night, so I expected a bit better. If given the chance, I don't think I'd stay again, but it was fine for one weekend. The staff was lovely and helpful.
