This is a generally well-maintained hotel with a lovely atmosphere. Although the rooms are a little worn and could use an update, everything else was excellent. The food was delicious in every restaurant we visited, and the wide, beautiful beach with plenty of sun loungers made our stay feel truly relaxing.

La Pirogue is one of the loveliest hotels in the world! A well-balanced mix of laid-back island charm, with professionalism, friendliness, fun activities and the best hotel food you will find anywhere (mix of authentic local and themed international, always something for everyone and a classy pastry section straight out of Paris!). The grounds are picturesque and immaculate, whilst the staff are amazingly friendly and attentive. Cannot recommend La Pirogue highly enough!

it is a fantastic hotel in a premium location. all was great. however, one thing they should massively improve is about their rigidity on certain rules like having longer room-service hours as per international standards and, the most, being much more flexible when renting water sports equipment at the boat house. this was far too much rigid till the point that there was never the right conditions to go out in the lagoon with any of their equipment. i am an expert sailor and i think they have a bit conservative policies on this subject.

This resort, despite being a 5-star establishment, has been the worst experience we’ve ever had. The only redeeming quality is their spa. Roomalia and Jenneth were incredibly professional and attentive. However, the rest of the staff was completely horrible. They showed no compassion or sense of hospitality. I’m not sure if they deliberately treated us differently or if this is their standard practice. I strongly advise against booking this resort. From the managers to the restaurant staff, they all left a lot to be desired. I don’t understand how they manage to operate in such a manner. We’ve stayed in both 5-star and 4-star resorts before and know what kind of service we should expect. Staff who highlighted the worst service: Feroize Despite being listed as an Expedia VIP resort, they fail to recognize the VIP status, which is a missed information for Expedia to provide accurate information.

Just back from a 10 day stay here, very family focused, friendly and helpful staff. So much to do during the day and terrific entertainment each night. Beach is awesome and pool for me was one of the best I have used, not a bright blue chlorine pond, but a very nature focused infinity pool.
