Flights To Chengdu

Getting Around Chengdu
Chengdu flights land at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU), which is just 14km from the city centre. After a taxi or airport shuttle ride, you’re right in the thick of things. You can also get around via bus or metro.
When You Land…
Landing in Chengdu early in the day? Good, you have plenty of time to make it to your half-day Panda Breeding Centre tour and that hug with a baby panda we mentioned earlier. If your flight lands in the afternoon, there’s still plenty of daylight for a bike tour or visit to Happy Valley Chengdu, the local amusement park.
Touching down in the evening? Get downtown to sample some hotpot (be careful: it can be rough on the stomach) or relax in a teahouse.
Live Like a Local
Pandas aside, it wouldn’t be a proper holiday in Chengdu if you didn’t sit down for a relaxing cuppa at a riverfront teahouse. Take your new lease on life to Wangjiang Pavilion Park, where a walk beneath the bamboo is sure to inspire “serenity now”. Also worth a visit is Wenshu Monetary, which attracts locals on the weekend for prayer and reflection.

Canopy by Hilton Chengdu City Centre
Great hotel and very clean. Breakfast buffet has great options, and an excellent view. Staff are very professional and helpful. Only issue was that the washroom doors are a little hard to use, and water from the shower leaks into the washroom very easily, and may cause a slip.

Waldorf Astoria Chengdu
Great stay with Waldorf! It has a big mall beside that meets all basic food needs. Special mention to Miya, who often superb recommendation and check in with us regularly during our stay. Only downside is the location of the hotel which is slightly far out from downtown but it not an issue with didi ...
