James at the front desk saw that our bags were delivered to our room while we explored the city. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and hot. Staff was very thoughtful. Did not see any ghosts, but still had an amazing stay. Rye is very sweet and the Mermaid Inn is very special.

Good location, very central. Impressed, liked it even better than more expensive “sister” hotel (quieter). Good breakfast included in the price. Nice outdoor space for a drink or breakfast on a nice day. Will go back there for sure!

We were upgraded to a superior room, which was wonderful and clean but the room was far too hot because it was next to the main working fireplace of the hotel.
