There was an homeless person with lots of belongings at the front entrance. The smell and the look of the room and hallway did not inspire cleanliness.

It was absolutely horrific, 1st off the two men at the front desk had a I don't care attitude. The first room I went too was 337. I had wiped it down with lysol wipes and sprayed it down with lysol. Went into the bath room to do the same and cut the lights on and roaches were everywhere, I got my stuff went down stairs, they tell me they have no other rooms. I ask for my miney back , they said they couldnt guve it back and they had no other rooms. Remind you it was 10ish at night almost 11 before I got to my room . Then a room appeared out of no where. They gave me room 207. Got there closed the door and the door wasnt all tbe way closed. Went on the outside of the door. You could see the door was open from the bottom. I went back and told them. They told me i had to take it. Intold them i didnt feel safe as a female single traveler. The guy told me and i had my mentor on the phone. Said he will see if he can fix it. He literally tried to kick the door in to fix it. It didnt work. He told me i had to rake it. Thats all they had. He says ill watch your room from the camera. I ask for my money back. He said call the 3rd party and we will get you your money back. I went back that morning talk to a lady who was much nicer. She said the manager wouldn't be in until Monday. But they will give the money back to me. I haven't heard nothing. I paid 233 for a piece of trash room. I called cheaptickets the rep was kind and tried to reach out to the hotel they told her the same thing.

Bullet proof glass and several police cars came by, but we were undisturbed and unperturbed. Comfortable bed, nice shower, Rita at the desk was very friendly. Easy, free parking!

Our connecting flight from JFK was cancelled, and the mainstream hotels closer to the airport were cancelled and we found this motor lodge. The 7.2 hotels.com rating is inflated. The reception area with plexiglass barriers made us feel we were entering an unwelcoming high security area, and made us wonder where were we. The room wreaked from stale cigarette smoke and the ceiling was peeling. A/C was too noisy to run at night. I can’t believe we had to pay $220 total for this room with no amenities.

Smelled like cigarettes and weed, found a centipede as we walked into the room, barely any tissue paper, we got a 100$ ticket due to no parking in the parking lot (we parked out in the street), one of the two beds were broken. Would NOT recommend.
