This hotel is an embarrassment to RedRoof. My husband and I booked a room for 6/20 after a concert. I booked the hotel through hotels.com, where the room looked decent for the price and for the quick stay we were needing. We booked a King non smoking room. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke oozing from our room as soon as we opened the door. The entire room was stained yellow and the odor was so strong. The room was dirty and also had a duct taped conjoining door. (Someone duck taped that door, took a step back and said “that’s perfect!?) nothing makes you feel more safe than a duck taped door 😂 the room also had two queen beds when it was supposed to have one king. (That isn’t even a big deal. But it wasn’t the room we reserved and paid for)
Anyway, we checked in around 1145pm and checked out about 5 minutes later. I felt Dirty and unsafe in that room. When i went to the front desk, i politely explained we’d be checking out for the night. She was kind and asked why and when I explained the situation, mainly the cigarette smoke- she said “that isn’t a smoking room.” I replied With “oh, it must be. The room is stained yellow. I was in there for less than 5 minutes and I smell like cigarette smoke.” Then she asked if the room had ashtrays and when i said “yes”, she said she couldn’t do anything for me but could give me a “really powerful air freshener.”
I told her that wouldn’t be necessary and checked out and we left.
