NO SOUTHERN CHARM/NO CUSTOMER SERVICE - BAD/RUDE! Stayed at this hotel 4 times over the last two years. This hotel gets worse every time. Tried to call the hotel directly and they don’t pick up. Booked directly on my phone from a rest stop with my booking app. Very easy using Expedia!
Upon arrival, desk staff clerk was very grouchy. She mentioned that I was using a third party booking company so I would not get the same service and that I have to pay $100 hold on my credit card - which I didn’t want to do since I prepaid & had a very long trip ahead with another hotel stay with a lot of travel expenses. She took $5 on my card. She said pool was closed when I mentioned that I wanted to swim at 7:30 PM. She said the pool wouldn’t be open until 10 AM, not good! Room was on the first floor with a view of the parking lot with a construction crane *right next to the window.* At 7:40 AM the truck’s loud motor started up with loud beeping. It sounded like a bomb going off & it scared the heck away out of me. I was in a deep sleep since I had a long drive the previous day, plus another 10 hours that day. The front desk clerk ran away immediately when I went to complain.
