We arrived to the property already tired from our travels, and you would expect upon arrival to any hotel/rented space you would be greeted to a clean, welcome place with the accommodations you were expecting from the listing itself. However, unfortunately for us this was very far from true. We arrived to a place that looked very different to the listing without even having been cleaned. The floors were dirty with dust piled in the corners, the bench near the door in one of the bedrooms was broken in half (split down the middle), there were crumbs in the creases of the desk chairs and on the couch, and much more. The front door lock seems to be faulty which led us to feel a bit unsafe, and the toilets in the bathroom take more than 1 flush to flush anything that may have been in there. The towels we used were stained, there was half eaten food left from the previous guests still in the fridge! Construction outside early in the mornings can’t be helped, however if it’s been going on for weeks as the construction crew said, we could have been informed about it instead of being woken up at 5 am for the few days we stayed with power tools. The listing also fails to mention that the room is on the top floor and there is no way up to it besides a staircase with lights on a 30 second timer. If we had known, we’d have packed much less bags as we had to make multiple trips up and down the never ending staircase. I would not recommend this stay to anyone.

Spacious walk up

Easy Uber ride from train station. Pack light because this is on the ~6th floor of a walk up building. Worth the effort. Spacious and cozy. You can see a beautiful tower out the window from one of the beds (zoomed in photo below!). The eating area set the stage for family time. Take out pizzas and wine are close by and delicious. The host arranged a welcome basket for us upon arrival and it set the tone for a great visit :-) I included a few pics we happened to take below.
