We really enjoyed our weekend in this lovely house! We were two families of four, and though the house isn't huge, we never felt cramped. Perfect location on the beach. There was a variety of beach chairs and toys, which was super-convenient. We cooked several meals, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We also really loved spending time on the covered patio!

Family trip to Galveston

Overall, the home was just fine. Within minutes of arriving we noticed an infestation of gnats, we couldnt leave any drinks un covered or hardly eat at the table the entire trip due to this. While the worst was in the kithen/dining, they were found throughout. Host was notified right away and gave suggestions such as us going and getting a bug bomb myself and setting off and buying other things for the house, after declining, he then did quickly send a store order with items for us to put around the house like tape and traps. While host acted surprised about the infestation, we later found gnat traps already in the home and was already suspicious they were "just there" over the weekend and saw nothing but dumped bug stuff in drains. This is the main part i did not appreciate. Also, host kept messaging privately versus within app like they are supposed to. Other than this issue that did truly effect the entire stay, the house was fine. Needed more thorough cleaning overall and definitely needs updates throughout but has great potential. Adding a lighter for the charcoal grill would be helpful too. declinedawbombthrou

House was very clean. Weather was starting to wear on areas of the outside, but the inside was cozy for 8 of us. Can’t beat the location. Amazing gulf view, and if the weather would have cooperated, perfect getaway.

The beach cottage has a homey feel! Great layout! Lots of chairs for lounging on the deck! Beautiful floors with a soaking tub in the masterbath which is wonderful for those of us who love tubs or need to bath small children! The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to work with! We will be back!

Great beach house!

This house couldn't get any closer to the beach! It's a lovely, cozy beach house that was perfect for our family (2 kids, 2 parents and 1 grandma). The kitchen was well stocked. The cozy furnishings weren't the newest but everything worked and was comfortable.

Awesome place with a total beach/ocean view

What a view! Wonderfully relaxing sitting on the 2nd floor deck with a totally unobstructed view of the beach/ocean! The place was super clean and extraordinarily well supplied with dishes, cutlery, even stem ware for wine and such! Very impressed. Andrew was great to work with...quick to communicate. Our stay was the highlight of my wife's birthday. Thanks Andrew!

Peaceful Seaside Sanctuary

We loved the scene and the uninterrupted view of the surf. We barely explored the island -- we've been many times -- because the location was so perfect and the house provided all the comforts. We would have appreciated fluffier pillows and fresher calk around the 2nd bathroom floor, but such things were minor in light of the perfect location, the comfy bed and the the well-equipped kitchen. We hope to return.
