Don’t waste money on.

Property is very old. No elevator. Old and musty smelling. Sheets had blue paint stains. Toilet didn’t work. Not a good experience for a Wyndham hotel.

Property was disgusting. Got there and several people were upset in the lobby. The staff were rude and had no idea what to do. The room was disgusting, bathroom disgusting. The lamps were unplug, moved nightstand and chips and food all over the place. Sheets were stained. The whole entire toilet was not attached to the floor and completely lifted up. The lotion bottle was half filled with water so all that came out was a milky water. It was gross.

Front desk was RUDE and unwelcoming not only to us but to other customers ahead of us I had to pay $30 extra dollars per night for parking separate charge. Rooms had only sheets no comforters or extra blankets. Pictures looked way better than the state of property really is.

Every time I left the room, the door key would not work had to go to the front desk multiple times during my stay to get access back to my room had to change my room because the shower curtain was so disgusting. I could not take a shower in the shower.

Wingate by Wyndham - horrific experience

This was the absolute worst experience we have ever had. The hotel was filthy. There was black mold and blood on the walls in the room. There was food in our refrigerator from the people before us. We also did not get the room we booked on Hotels.com. The lady at the front desk was not helpful and refused to do anything to help us. The manager was “sleeping“ and was not available. We will never stay at a Wingate by Wyndham ever again. Hotels.com did what they could to help us and we do appreciate that.

We chose this property because it was a Wyndham property and we had always had a great experience. This property was awful. The front desk staff were pushy and the first room they put us in smelled of mold and there was visible water damage in the ceiling and mold in the bathroom. I did request to be moved to a different room because I have an allergy to mold, which they accommodated but in moving is the man from the front desk was very rude and pushy. He was rushing my husband up some stairs to get his key so he could open the door. My husband was trying to walk up the stairs with 2 suitcases in his hands. It was the worst experience we have ever had at a Wyndham property.

Good for a night of sleep. That’s it.

Hotel check in was fine. Got charged $15 to park in the parking lot so I was not happy about that. Breakfast is just the literal basics so don’t depend upon it to get anything but a waffle. The beds were comfy and room was decent but I would not recommend except to sleep for one night, not a long term stay.

The only thing going for this hotel is its location. Directly across the street from the beach and just minutes away from Cruise ports. Otherwise run away from this hotel! The staff was rude and unorganized! The room was gross and stinky! The shower curtain was stained and molded! Stay away from The Wingate by Wyndham in Galveston Beachfront at the Seawall!!!
