The hotel was very close to the Grand Canyon Railway and just a few miles from Bearizona. It had comfortable room and a nice complimentary breakfast.

This property was great! It was clean, new and fresh, and the service was excellent. The downfall was that they used styrofoam plates and cups for the breakfast service; please switch to something more environmentally friendly!

Things liked: location is close to (about a 5 minute walk) to Grand Canyon railway Hotel. Balcony had 2 chairs to get fresh mountain air. Free self serve breakfast that’s decent with waffles/eggs/bacon/sausage yogurts, bagels etc. There’s a distillery restaurant/bar right next door (1 min walk) for food/drinks. Price was much less than GC railway hotel. Staff were nice and friendly. Easy close parking. Easy fast drive to Route 66 with food/shops/roller coaster/zipline etc. Things I didn’t like: it’s directly across the street from an RV park so that’s your view. Our bed was harder than a rock (extra firm mattress) and the pillows were harder than the mattress. They told us they ran out of extra pillows on night 1 so we were stuck with 2 pieces of standard size stone which made for very poor sleep. (On night 2 they did provide us 4 extra pillows that were actually very comfortable and soft) Hotel elevator was hot and stuffy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time on the train ride from Williams to the Grand Canyon. Would I stay here again? No, and that’s based 99% on the comfort of the mattress which is the firmest mattress I’ve ever slept on.

Property and room nice enough. Was surprised to see all the styrofoam dishes and cups at the breakfast buffet. Also why not have soap/shampoo dispensers in the rooms instead of all those small plastic bottles? Lots of other hotels are doing better.
