This is a fabulous property in amazing Grass Valley, CA. Highly recommend it! You have to come here and stay the staff is excellent, bar is beautiful and all done in a gold mining period motif! You’ll love it.

This hotel is excellent. It’s got the charm and sophistication that you would expect from a great boutique hotel and more. We booked two rooms for four guests and it was cozy, clean and the decor was everything we’d been looking for. It’s steps from great food and an awesome bar right on the premises. The gift shop on property is amazing. I spent a lot! It was really hard not to. Enjoy the Holbrook, we will be back many times I am sure.

The Holbrook is historic and quaint. Perfect for unplugging and just relaxing. A high class hotel with simplicity. Wonderful touches of detail. The staff is above the high mark. Just wonderful! Highly suggest.

Not a whole lot to do in GV, but we stayed at the Holbrooke as my wife is a fan of anything paranormal. The hotel is immaculate, well-kept, and worth staying at. The only downside to GV is that everything closes early. 9 PM is the last call for dinner on a Friday night, and we ended up with pizza, which was very good. There are a few bars that stay open later. Funny thing, our room had an old radio on a table. After check-in, when we got to the room, I turned on a radio that was on a table and tried to tune to any station, and all I heard was static. We went out and returned to our room at about 1 AM. When we opened the door, the radio was playing like old 1920s music, clear. Also, there is a tall dresser with four books on it. In the morning, one of the books was pulled out. We will stay there again.

If was wonderful staying in a beautiful restored historic hotel. The downfall was thin walls in the “ mansion” where our room was. Also, the restaurant was very expensive and not a big selection of entrées. Staff was wonderful & very accommodating to our needs.

Kind of a cute boutique type hotel. And the rooms were newly renovated and clean. The restaurant was very trendy, but a little expensive. Parking was insufficient. Overall, nice experience, but for the price I would expect maybe a fridge or a TV in the room. It all depends on what you are after, I suppose.
