Ben at the reception who greeted us warmly was trying very hard to find us a quiet room. In the end, he upgraded us to a better room. Our room was spacious, very clean with comfy beds and well appointed furnishings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the White Swan.

We arrived at 8 in the morning because of an early flight and expected to just leave our baggage. In fact they let us have our room early which was fantastic. I’m sure the rooms at the back are great but the river room we had has such a spectacular view that it was worth paying the extra.

I've had a wonderful stay at White Swan Hotel. The hotel is clean, comfortable, has great amenities, and the staff is friendly. The location is also amazing. The hotel's foods are excellent, and the views from the room are great. Tried couple other five stars hotel in Guangzhou but always wanted to come back to white swan, I guess this is the only hotel on my Guangzhou list from now on.

it’s still the same issue. dining room staff need to be trained to compete with other fine dining restaurant. Had dinner at the jade river restaurant and tried the tasting menu and wasn’t too impressed. staff needed to be told to change the plates. very friendly but need to be more attentive. comparing with the fine dinner I had at the Grand Hyatt, jade river’s food and service and way way behind
