Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay at The Harbour Hotel. The staff were really helpful. Jenny, the receptionist helped us to book in and we even got an upgrade. The lunch staff were great and food excellent. Unfortunately we had to wait 30mins for a hairdryer to be sent to the room after two calls to reception. But we were given drinks at the bar to compensate. The first dirty martini was made with olive oil instead of brine but that was then replaced with apologies. The Spa was a good experience, both massages were excellent. Shame the hot tub was just warm. We were able to leave our bags with no problem at reception for the following day after checking out which was great. Excellent location for Guildford centre. We will recommend and return.

Needs a refurbishment in more ways than one.

The harbour hotel is a good location for Guildford next door to Glive and a short walk into town. We have been coming here since it was a raddison hotel and very little has changed in terms of decor or facilities. Everything looks very tired from furniture to building fabric. It used have an upmarket feel about it but that was at least 10 years ago. We have stayed in the suites and various other rooms and they are all invariably the same, dark lacking in style and worn. The lobby bar used to be quite vibrant and busy but now there’s no atmosphere and it’s a struggle to get a drink even though there seems to be lots of members of staff wafting around but not actually serving customers. We came back from an evening out and tried getting a drink and ice for our room but were told to go to the long bar which is alongside the hotel. We complained and to be fair Bethany the bar manager explained the policy of the hotel very well and was very helpful even though we disagreed about the policy of having bottles brought to your room instead of having drinks in the lobby bar after 11 pm. Harbour needs to get this hotel up to the level of its other hotels.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The room was beautifully decorated with all the special touches that made it feel extra luxurious and inviting. A Lovely Stay

The Guildford Harbour Hotel is a lovely hotel that I would recommend to anyone. The position of the hotel is fantastic being walking distance from the shops, restaurants, pubs etc. The hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and on hand to help with anything. The 11am breakfast cut off and check out also made it nice not to have to rush in the morning. There is also parking provided at the hotel at no extra charge.

Nice hotel, noisy outdoor spa.

Our room was small but perfectly tidy with a great bathroom and a safe, kettle, hair dryer and toiletries. The mattress was very hard and the pillows were thin. We also happened to be right next to the large heavy door by the lifts, which was noisy. The room was hot, even with the aircon turned down to 17, the lowest it would go, so we ended up opening the window. Because of this we were woken up at 7.30 with guests using the outdoor spa, making a lot of noise. This carried on for a couple of hours. Breakfast was a buffet and was very good. The hotel is perfectly situated at the top of town and the bar is great. I would stay again but would make some specific requests next time.
