Decent hotel but the bathrooms are extremely small and need a refresh. Banged my head on a glass shelf in the bathroom while putting something in the garbage - it was that cramped. Also noise from next door went on till 1am.

This hotel is located in the center of town, so is very accessible for public transport, taxis, ubers etc. The building is very old, so allowance needs to be made for that, but the rooms are well appointed and clean, the bed was great and TV and internet worked very well.

We had a lovely time at the Lord Nelson. Our room, while small, was comfortably appointed, and the hotel is in an excellent location immediately across the street from the Public Gardens and in walking distance from the waterfront and Halifax Citadel. The hotel restaurant also served delicious food in an excellent atmosphere. We will definitely stay again when we are next in Halifax.

Home away from home

Awesome experience, beds are comfy, service attentive, had a roof cargo box on so we couldn’t fit in the hotel parking garage which allows only 6'2" height space but the hotel has a oversized vehicle parking lot in back of the hotel which was great.
