Charged for breakfast I never got

Was told by check in staff I could get breakfast at 7.30 and had to pay extra only to find out it didn't start till 8 so no breakfast and no refund

So, it was not announced in the booking but check-in was delayed until 1800, not 1500. Having driven into the car park I was confronted by a roadworker who squared up to me and threatened me with assault saying the car park was closed and then stormed into the hotel once I said I was not leaving. There were no signs to state the car park was closed nor was there any notification here. Then at 1am the air conditioning started pouring out water. Not wanting to have to change room at 1am it was just switched off. Defo not four star.

Nice hotel. Staff were helpful Cleanliness was pretty good. . Wardrobe door not working correctly. Hotel shut down early the following day for maintenance without letting me know prior to booking.

Pricey breakfast and no decaf

Good stay in line with the expectations of a village hotel. As always a Massively overpriced breakfast to the point your thinking wow I’d what straight from the farm. We went to Greg’s where £12 fed 4 of us as apposed to £12.50 for one of us at the village. On top we couldn’t get decaf coffee because there’s a star bucks in the hotel. The young man was very insistent that no we don’t do little decaff potions for the room. With the kids there it’s never worth the argument but Having stayed in village hotels with work for the past 4 years I know this was a lie and he just couldn’t be bothered to go and get it. The hotel and facilities were good on par with expectations. The female staff were lovely and friendly with the kids which is all you can ask.

The hotel feels dated, the décor reminded me of a Wetherspoons from the mid-2000s and really hasn't aged well; and even in a Club room there were chunks missing from the bathroom panels, which wasn’t great. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable. The restaurant, however, was a real let-down. It’s incredibly expensive for what it is, and the quality doesn’t match the price. On my first visit, I had a rubbery, bland burger. On the second, I thought I’d play it safe with six chicken tenders and some onion rings, plus a pint of Coke – it came to £25, and the food tasted like it had come straight from the freezer. Breakfast was similarly disappointing at £12.50 a day: sweaty, fatty bacon, soggy hash browns, and very limited cold drink options. To top it off, the steam room wasn’t working during my stay. Overall, the bed was comfortable, but it’s hard to justify the prices given the dated feel and poor food quality.

Overnight stop

Hotel was what we expected for a corporate chain hotel it served a purpose as an overnight stay on a longer trip but restaurant not good food for what if was was expensive and not very good unless you wanted burgers or nachos etc my wife opted for salmon and it was overcooked and dry but but us what it is no surprises really !

The hotel is ok, but the prices of food and drinks are extortionate. I was particularly angered at the price of swimming, £21 for an adult and £9 for a child. Shameful.

One Night Stay

The hotel was in a perfect location to travel to Ascot. The staff were lovely, everything was clean and comfortable and it was ideal for what we wanted. The Starbucks on site was perfect and needed and the swimming pool was quiet when we used it.

A member of staff came into our room at 1am. It woke us up they apologised and left. When we raised it in the morning, there was no manager to complain to, they took my details and never called me to discus. My wife could not sleep after the incident and they said they were just checking the room to see if it was clean - definitely did not feel right.
