Built in 1884 and thoughtfully renovated in 2022, this historic inn features 9 cozy guest rooms, carriage house, stone patios, a cocktail bar, and renowned fine dining—all in a tranquil, off-the-beaten-path setting.

Open 10 months a year, the Crocker House is ideal for travelers seeking a quiet retreat surrounded by nature. Explore the best of DownEast Maine with nearby hiking, cycling, kayaking, wildlife watching, and boat tours. Located just a short walk to the water, the inn is bordered on three sides by the Skillings River and Frenchman Bay—with all roads on Hancock Point leading to the ocean. Guest moorings are available for boaters.

Best known for its elevated cuisine, the Crocker House serves a gourmet breakfast daily (exclusive to inn guests) and opens to the public for dinner on weekends with reservations. Enjoy handcrafted entrees, house-made bread, soups, and desserts from our newly expanded 2022 kitchen. It’s harder and harder to find a property that exceeds your expectations. This is one such gem. The location is amazing - the pool was heated to bath water temperature (wish I had brought my suit!) and you can just tell it’s well-loved. Wish I could have stayed longer.

This is a B&B that looks very close to Bar Harbor on a map but it’s actually about 50 minutes away. The Facility had been very meticulously restored and has a restaurant. It was October, the room we had was on the 3rd floor and it had a floor AC unit but there was no heat, elevator , TV and phone. It was cold at night. We met an another couple on the 3rd floor and their room was the same. The room was very clean but small. This B&B is located way off the beaten path. No restaurants or shopping nearby. We only had breakfast at the restaurant and it was very good.
