Cedar court Harrogate

The hotel was lovely, we enjoyed it and we had a meal in the Amber restaurant which was also lovely although the menu was a little overcomplicated for my taste, and as a lifelong vegetarian I really don't want fake steak or any kind of fake meat. We thought the staff were lovely. It is really central you can walk anywhere from this hotel.

Cedar Court hotel was excellent for our stay. We had a spacious room and everything from check in to departure was to our liking. Admittedly there was an extremely large event on and there was about 300 people in the bar area from about 6.30 until 7.30 when they went to their private room. The bar was busy but the staff seemed to be coping. It would of been nice to have been informed before or at checkin. It didnt affect our evening but some people may have found it overwhelming.

Great hotel

Easy to find, close enough to the city centre to walk there and enjoy the surroundings but far enough away so its relaxing to sleep. Staff are amazing and friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. Restaurant was quality and we really enjoyed our breakfasts and evening meal. Only negative was the bed wasn’t that comfortable.

Our Primary Choice for Harrogate Visits.

We have stayed many places in Harrogate and of them all, Cedar Court has provided for us everything that we would expect in terms of welcome, hospitality, surroundings, comfort, accessibility and customer service. In an age when hotel lounges seem to be shrinking, Cedar Court offers the finest in comfort, attractive surroundings and spaciousness. Ambers restaurant is spectacular where old world and modern decor is a feast to the eye. And the menu offers a wide selection of meals that we have not found anywhere else on our stays in Harrogate. Cuisine at its best. We have only found this standard in 5 star hotels. Thus was our second visit to the hotel and the future, we will never stay anywhere else when we visit Harrogate.

Nice place to stay

The hotel was nice and clean. The room was pretty standard. The bartenders and waiters in the Amber Restaurant were lovely and the food was great. Quite far out of Harrogate centre.

Valentines Weekend Away

We had a couples stay at the hotel for Valentines weekend. The hotel location and building were beautiful, as were the lobby, bar and restaurant. Taking into consideration this is a 4* hotel, there is no doubt that the main hotel itself i.e. the bar/lounge area and the restaurant met our expectations. We dined in the hotel restaurant for both evenings, the food and service were excellent, offering good value for money. Sadly our hotel room on the 2nd floor (206) did not in anyway meet out expectations. The room was tired and rundown, in particular the bathroom. The mattress was without doubt below standard. It was also the little things that let it down, e.g. no shampoo or conditioner, no moisturiser, toilet flush and bath plug that did not function correctly. This all sadly took a bit of the shine off the stay. The staff at the hotel were super helpful, friendly and welcoming :-) Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would consider staying again in the future, only if the rooms had improved!
