New Listing! Restored Vintage Cabin near Bryce, Grand Staircase. Great views!

New Listing!
1940's era restored farmhand/cowboy bunkhouse. Its rustic exterior was retained to exemplify its age and origins, but the inside has been updated and remodeled for your comfort. One bedroom, bath, living room w/ kitchenette. Be advised that the all-original ceiling logs have a clearance (head room) of 6'-5", and are spaced every 30", so if you are taller than 6'-4" this would be uncomfortable for you.

The cabin is located on our small farm in the south end of Henrieville valley. The farm originally belonged to my great-grandfather Harry Quilter, (hence the name Quilter Cabin) and changed hands several times over the years, until finally I was able to pick up this portion of the original farm. The previous owners of my property lived in this 385 square foot cabin for seven years while building their strawbale homestead next door, where the property manager (our son) now lives.

The cabin is a wonderful place of solitude and peace. It is in a rural area located on an old farm/ranch. The owner is close by and the property manager is on site. Make sure to follow the directions to the cabin given in the email from the owner. Location is convenient to Bryce Canyon, Kodacrome State Park, and Red Canyon, and the property is perfect for viewing the night skies and the sunrise/sunset. The have a binder with excellent suggestions for hikes and a list of restaurants that was very helpful. The cabin is rustic, cozy, and clean. Bed is comfortable and the shower has decent pressure. They have an orchard on site and you are able to enjoy the fruit. I really enjoyed my visit and if in the area again, will definitely stay here.

We absolutely loved this property, it’s remote and simple but couldn’t have been better is we wanted it to be. Loved the little touches like coffee, eggs, pancake mix and other fixings. This ia no Marriott but it’s perfect for a place to rest and crash each night! Plus is sooo quiet!

Disliked: Cleanliness
I truly cannot rate the cleanliness of the inside of the property because I chose not to stay for the two nights I booked. There were several reasons. The first reason was that the property was too isolated. It had no Internet service and was out in the middle of nowhere. Secondly, when I drove up the driveway I passed the owner’s property and it was very unkempt and trashy. Also, when I booked the property I didn’t know the cabin was not a stand alone building, but part of where their son lived. I thought that was a bit misleading in the listing and did not feel comfortable with that arrangement. Finally, I could not get the code to work on the door, so I decided to cut my losses and left.I must say for such a high review from other visitors I was very disappointed in what was at least outwardly presented.

This was a perfect spot for our vacation. Quiet and off the beaten path. Still super close to all the things we went to see. It was wonderful place to stay and the sunset was gorgeous out the back porch. Clean and cool.

This cozy cabin was the perfect retreat from the heat and crowds of the national parks. It was set up for us to prepare meals and directions to near by sites like Kodachrome. It was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed sunrise views from the deck and the wide open dark skies at night. Following Milt's directions brought us right to the cabin. It was better than pictured.

Bit confusing

Milt told us the name was Cowboy Cabin but its Quinter. Therefore we were not sure it was the right place. Should weed whip driveway. Chain hanging from roof at front door walkway seems dangerous. However we liked the refreshing rennovation inside.

Cute and cozy cabin

We enjoyed our 2 nights at the vintage cabin. The amenities provided in the kitchenette were an unexpected added touch. The decor was so appropriate with the variety of quilts, homemade curtains and such. Good directions provided as well.

Cute and Quiet

We had an excellent stay in this cute little cabin. Very clean, well organized, and comfortable. Well stocked with essentials if needed. Quiet environment, we slept great. Perfect get away to enjoy the nearby national parks. We also really enjoyed the booklet that had been pretreated by the hosts. Filled with emergency resources, food, and trail recommendations, we felt prepared and excited to explore.

The cabin is quiet - this is important to us. The bed was good for our backs. Cabin is so clean and electric heaters kept us warm. We were able to find the property in the dark because the host sent us detailed instructions on how to find the property. Thanks for a great stay. :)

Knew the cabin would be rustic and it was nicer than we expected. Went for the dark skys of the area so the location was great, unfortunately couldn't control weather so we didn't get to see much. I would recommend to others
