Fantastic Villa With Private Pool, Sea, Mountain & Village Views, Ideal Location

The villa stands within its own grounds which is extremely peaceful. With wonderful views to sea, mountain and village, private swimming pool, garden and car parking area. Villa has two bedrooms with king size beds both with en suite bathrooms, plus each bedroom has a balcony area. Downstairs is a modern kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher. There is a utility room with washing machine. The lounge has two sofa beds. There is also an additional bathroom downstairs.

This is a lovely house. Its in a very quiet location a short drive from the main road and a more touristy area. The small town its in has a small shop and 3 restaurants- one in particular is amazing!It has a full kitchen, two large bedrooms and huge outdoor space.The owners are super helpful too

Property has almost everything you need and is in a lovely quiet location. Beds are comfortable and kitchen is well equipped. We had a wonderful two weeks here. Some minor issues which were quickly resolved by Ash without any fuss. When I say “almost everything you need” this only applies to our particular stay which fell during some particularly HOT weather, 44 degrees at one point. Despite the provision of fans and keeping the property sealed during the day to keep cool, it was difficult to sleep on a few nights. The option to pay extra for some air conditioning would have been welcomed. This said we booked it knowing there was no air con so this is not a criticism just something Ash and his brothers may wish to consider for the future. We would happily come back again. Thank you for all your help.

Just right

The property was well equiped, spacious and just right. Lovely views. The pool was well maintained and big enough. It is deeper than many, but ideal for adults. A short walk, uphill unfortunately, but downhill after the night out, to the village. With 2 excellent restaurants. A small shop, a bakery and very friendly people. We were sad to leave. Owner extremely helpful and informative at all points.

Villa Clarriss

Stayed at Villa Clarriss in September 2022. Our party was made up of two couples. We had a fab stay and the villa was perfect for the four of us and very well equipped. We appreciated the pool on the hot days and the bbq one evening but as it was so close to the town of Gouves we ate out most days. It was definitely worth renting a car for trips out and shopping but we did walk into the town on a few occasions. Would definitely return to this villa when we visit Crete again.

Wonderful, Private and lovely.

What hits you first is the steep drive up to the villa, but this disappears after a couple of times up and down. You do need transport a car or scooter whatever you prefer any of the hire companies will deliver a vehicle to the villa car or prearrange it at the airport. The villa is spacious bedrooms are a good size with lovely views from both balconies. The kitchen has everything you require dish washer, washing machine, etc etc. They have a lovely pool area and a small barbie on the other hand Spiros who owns a restaurant in the village will come and pick you up and return you back again which is really great. Finally there's a lovely seating area outside near the pool where you can sit in the shade as it gets really hot during the day. Loved our 4 week stay immensely and please take mozzie repellent with you it's a bit costly in the Greek chemists.

Great Villa

Despite all the ongoing issues with Covid we a have been kept updated regularly by the owner Tony which proved reassuring during all the uncertainty. We have visited this Villa twice previously and were not disappointed on our return this year. The villa was very clean and provides a great off the beaten track base to enjoy Crete. The village of Gouves is within easy walking distance and if your driving there are lots of places nearby to visit. The villa is a good size and the pool and surrounding area is ideal for just chilling out in the sun.

Just perfect

From booking to check out the whole process was unrivalled. As a host, Tony is undoubtedly second to none. The communication between us was regular and he was always at the end of the phone if I needed advice. The villa itself was absolutely beautiful, we wanted for nothing. The location was perfect and the facilities were spot on. On the last day we met Tony and his lovely family, which was really good. I would not hesitate to rebook this villa and look forward to returning next year. Thanks Tony, you are an absolute star.

Great Villa

This was our second visit to Lisa & Kirks villa and it was great to be back. The villa is clean and spacious with a good sized pool, it’s ideal for a relaxing holiday slightly off the beaten track. The village is a five minute walk and offers the choice of 3 nice but very different tavernas while a 30 walk gets you down to the main holiday resort & beach. We hired a car and from the villa there is easy access to nearby Heraklion, Hersonissos, Malia, Agios Nikolaos and Rethymno.

My family had a great time at this villa. A clean well maintained property, nice and quiet location and a good sized pool for the four of us. The owner was very helpful and was flexible with check in and check out times. Tavernas are within walking distance and a great beach is a few minutes drive away.

Holiday June 2019

This is fantastic Villa as the Home Away Site says. The pictures are accurate, although the Villa was more spacious than it looked. Every thing both inside and out was spotlessly clean and the pool was beautiful. The village is very welcoming and Spryos from the taverna with the same name was really helpful and welcoming. Loved our holiday will book again for a longer stay next time Communication with the owner was really good. Every room in the villa is well equipped, and the wardrobes are massive. We couldn't fault this accommodation.

The villa is wonderful, exactly as described. It had everything we needed plus a few extras. We loved sitting by the pool enjoying the peace and quiet disturbed only by the local cockeral! Spectacular views across the village and toward the sea from the balconies. The villa may benefit from air conditioning in the summer months but not needed during our stay in October. Our only disappointment was, as we were visiting late in the season, that the old part of Gouves was "closed for the winter"; all but one of the local restaurants having shut down so we never got to see the often referred to Spyros. We did however find a plethora of other eating options in Kato Gouves, particularly Atlantis restaurant which was our favourite. Lisa provided all the information we needed and was very supportive during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.

The property was very good.

The only problem we had with the property was that the pool was to deep which was a shame because we were unable to use it also don't feel it would be safe for young children. Gouves its self was very disappointing lots of derelict buildings and not a very good selection of restaurants thank goodness for Spiros in Gouves village lovely people and delicious meals.

Lovely, spacious and secluded

I stayed in Lisa's villa with three other girlfriends for 5 days and it was absolutely perfect. The villa was a great size for four people and we loved that it was set back, giving us a bit of privacy. I would say a hire car is probably necessary, as most things a a bit of a drive away (there is a lovely taverna nearby which is walking distance). This is a great place for anyone looking for a chilled week away with a pool - amazing value for money too. We'll definitely be back!

Great location and privacy guaranteed

We had a fabulous week staying at the villa. Pictures do not do it justice. From the master upstairs terrace you have village, mountain and sea views. What more can you ask for! The villa is well equiped and if there was anything else l would suggest it would be some smaller Pyrex or similar oven dishes as the oven trays and saucepans were huge! The local taverna is 5 minutes walk and Spyros is so helpful and welcoming. Food is good and plentiful. We had a car which we think is essential as we like to get out and about sightseeing. Located approximately 20 minutes drive from the airport means transfers are quick. The beach is 10 mins away and there are plenty of shops and bars for an evening out.

Brilliant holiday

The villa is exactly as described. In a lovely quiet and private position and close enough to village for a short walk to the taverna in the evening.There are plenty of walks round about but when we were there it was usually too hot to walk much so just went out exploring a few evenings when it began to cool down (but not much). The pool was a great help in keeping cool also watching swallows drinking every day. Lisa was great when I asked questions or phoned. Nothing too much trouble. Thanks Lisa for a lovely holiday

Perfect to escape for a peaceful private holiday!

Located in the quiet town of Gouves, this villa is perfect to escape for a peaceful, private holiday. I went with just my girlfriend and I, and it was amazing, so relaxing and out of the way. However it does sleep six, so would be great for a holiday with friends as well. Despite the secluded location, it is still relatively easy to get to the sea front, or local towns such as Heraklion or Malia. It would be ideal for those renting a car as these towns are both about a 20 minute taxi ride away. A taxi is very easy to get from the super friendly guys at ‘Spiros’, a wonderful restaurant in the town. Where you can sit and enjoy a beer, or a raki until your taxi arrives. Lisa was an excellent host and made sure we did not need anything, as well as being on the end of the phone day and night responding to any query we had. The only downside was the rather steep hill up to the town, which may be difficult for those who do not walk as much, however it was not difficult by the end of our week there and also was worth the effort to get the delicious, freshly baked bread from the bakery. We had an amazing time staying here and have already started thinking about when we can go back.

Eine schöne Woche auf Kreta

Das Haus und die Umgebung haben uns sehr gut gefallen, der Aussenbereich lässt nicht‘s zu wünschen übrig. Alles was man für einen schönen Aufenthalt braucht ist vorhanden.Das einzige was uns ein bisschen gefehlt hat, ist eine Klimaanlage , aber die Ventilatoren haben auch geholfen das Haus zu kühlen….. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder

Schöner Urlaub in ruhiger Umgebung

Das Haus hat eine geniale Lage außerhalb des Dorfes. Das Dorf kann man aber sehr gut fußläufig erreichen. Sehr schönes Haus. Sehr schöner Pool. Der Besitzer war für Rückfragen immer erreichbar. Zusammengefasst: Einsehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub.
