The villa for rent has 3 bedrooms two double beds and two single beds in the third bedroom. Each bedroom has its own wardrobe. A fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator freezer, electric oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery), a comfortable living room with modern and classic furniture, a fireplace, TV, two sofas, dining area, bathroom with toilet and a single toilet. Has a total of 170 sqm living space. The terrace has a wood stove, barbecue and pergolas overlooking the Cretan Sea (220sqm). The accommodation has two entrances from the western and eastern side of the house. Has a large balcony (25sqm) and a terrace overlooking the sea. The house has been built in a plot of 650 square meters with tree planting palm trees, lemons, Mantarinen and olive trees. It has internet connection and air conditioning in the living room and in the bedroom.
On the ground floor of the villa lives the owner of the villa which is available for you 24h.
By car you are in Heraklion in 10 minutes, in the large and well-known museums such as Knossos or the State Museum in Heraklion in 15min. From the home you are away until the next exit in the highway about in 2min. From there you can east or west along Crete other major cities by car: like Agios Nikolaos in Lasithi 45 min, Rethemnon 70min or 2hr Chania. From the airport, are located in well 6min by car.

The property was clean & spacious with nice views. It's within easy walking distance of Kateros village, which in season would have a few restaurants and shops and a bakery. Only one seafront restaurant and 1 taverna on the main road was open in early April. It's easy access to the motorway great for sightseeing if you hire a car, if you intend to stay put in the village I wouldn't come out of season. There are a few things that weren't clear in the listing that potential renters would want to know. The property is split into 2 holiday lets, on middle & top floor. There is also a separate let below which seems to be someones permanent residence. I thought I'd booked a villa (whole property) not 1 floor, due to the time of year we booked (early April) it didn’t matter to us, but peak season could affect others. The sun rises on the side of the house, so there is no sun on the terrace. The property is open plan, plenty of space , there are 2 large tables seating 6 each and a 3 seater & 2 seater sofa, so even thought it's advertised as up to 6 there's only sofa seating for 5. There's a large shower room with loo, sink & washing machine and a separate wc with no ventilation, so often quite smelly. One big issue for couples sharing is 1 of the 4 bedrooms is accessed through another bedroom which makes it unusable if not being used by your own young children. This wasn't made clear in the listing.

Great villa, fantastic roof terrace, amazing host!

We actually stayed at Villa Pasiphae for three months when we moved to Crete this spring. The house is spacious and well equipped, even for a stay as long as ours. We spent many hours on the roof terrace, relaxing and enjoying the view. There’s almost always a good breeze, which makes it a very pleasant place to while away a few hours with a bottle of wonderful Cretan wine. There is an off street parking space (which took a bit of practice to master maneuvering), and a securely fenced garden (much appreciated by my dogs!). Close to the beaches and tavernas in Karteros, and just a few minutes drive into Kokkini Hani, there’s always lots to do. Only 15 minutes into Heraklion center, and 5 minutes from the airport... you can watch the planes landing from the roof. Very convenient location. The host, Chris, was fabulous. Always on hand to help with any questions, and to make sure we were happy in the villa. Would definitely recommend this villa to anyone staying in this area. Only negative I can give is that there is only air conditioning in the living room and one bedroom, the other bedrooms get quite warm.

Tolle Villa nahe Irakleiou

Sehr schöne und sehr saubere Ferienwohnung in einzel stehender Villa. Gigantisch große und wunderbare Dachterrasse mit Außenküche und Aussicht aufs Meer über die gesamte Bucht. Mit allem eingerichtet, was man braucht. Sehr zuvor kommende Vermieter, unkompliziert und immer in Kontakt. Perfekte Ausgangslage für Inselerkundung aber auch Badeurlaub. Mietwagen empfehlenswert.

Bel appartement

Bel appartement, très propre, spacieux et bien aménagé avec balcon et une très grande terrasse sur le toit Hôte courtois et disponible. Proche de l'aéroport, ce qui présente des avantages, mais aussi quelques nuisances sonores si l'on garde les fenêtres ouvertes, mais il y a des ventilateurs au plafond et l'air conditionné donc cela n'a pas posé de problème. Il faut par contre savoir que louer une voiture est indispensable pour profiter de son séjour à Karteros car les voies d'accès au village et à la plage ne sont pas prévues pour les piétons, ce qui présente quelques dangers, surtout avec des enfants. Une bonne base de départ pour se déplacer en Crète en voiture, car on fait vite le tour de ce que le village a à offrir.

Le propriétaire est accueillant et disponible en cas de mini problème.Appartement très propre et confortable . Proximité avec deux petits commerces,avec la plage(5mn en voiture),avec l'aéroport très proche (à peine 10 mn par la 4 voies)et avec Knossos( à environ 15 mn ) Appartement très calme avec une jolie vue depuis la terrasse

Maison très spacieuse avec très belle terrasse avec vue sur la mer.

La maison située à la campagne non loin d'Heraklion est spacieuse et très bien aménagée. Elle dispose de deux terrasses, l'une au rez de chaussée ornée de bougainvillées, l'autre, très vaste à l'étage offrant une très belle vue sur l'aéroport et sur la mer. Cette dernière est en partie couverte et est aménagée avec un barbecue maçonné, une très grande table et des bancs de bois. La salle de bain et la douche sont grandes et commodes. Le propriétaire est venu nous chercher à l'entrée du village pour nous conduire chez lui et nous a donné la possibilité de nous garer à l'intérieur de la propriété. Cependant, la place étant un peu étroite pour notre voiture de location, nous avons préféré nous garer sur un terrain situé un peu avant la maison ce qui a pu se faire sans problème. L'équipement de la maison est complet. À peu de distance on peut trouver des restaurants et une plage ainsi que quelques petits commerces d'alimentation ouverts même à une heure tardive. Nous avons fait un séjour fort agréable dans cet endroit à partir duquel il est aisé de visiter Heraklion et ses alentours.

Große Villa nahe Hieraklion

Die Villa Pasiphae Karteros Bay ist günstig in der Nähe von Hieraklion und nahe zum Meer gelegen. Die Wohnräume sind neu ausgebaut bzw. renoviert, die Gesamtanlage gibt aber wegen des nicht fertig ausgebauten Einfahrtsbereichs und Kellers einen nicht ganz fertigen Eindruck. Die Inneneinrichtung und Küchenausstattung ist komplett, allerdings waren einige der Matratzen hart und unbequem. WLAN war sehr gut, TV war nicht angeschlossen. Die sehr große Dachterrasse mit überdachter Pallisade und großem, überdachtem Grillbereich bietet eine schöne Aussicht (für schöne Abendstimmung) (konnten wir wegen schlechtem Wetter leider nicht nutzen).
