Great hotel with welcoming/helpful staff

We were greeted by a very welcoming staff and a cold juice. Our rooms were very well presented and comfortable. Staff including reception, tour advice, porters and restaurant / bar staff were all very professional and hospitable. Breakfast was a buffet style with an excellent selection. The rooftop bar was a highlight.

Great views from the Rooftop Bar

Pros: Helpful staff and location. Free wifi worked well.
Cons: Turn the bell off on the elevator, my room wasnt that close to the lift but I could hear it keep "dinging" every time it stopped on my level.
Location: On a very busy street with lots of pubs and restaurants right outside.
I booked a superior room which had a double bed and a single bed in it. The room and bathroom itself was quite a bit smaller than I imagined. But it was clean and comfortable. The rooftop bar looked fabulous and offered great views.I only stayed one night and did not eat in the restaurant and I didnt manage to get breakfast because I had to leave early the next morning and serviced started at 7am. The staff were lovely and did offer to get me some items to take away.

Nice hotel, friendly staff in backpackers area

Great hotel with friendly staff. They helped us book a great tour to the Mekong river. It was in a busy area full of nice places to eat. About a 20 minute walk from the monuments and markets

Comfortable hotel, would stay here again.

Pros: The staff were very helpful. Rooftop bar was good.
Cons: As in most 3 star hotels in the bigger cities in Asia the room was quite small.
Location: Fairly easy walk to the market, once you get used to the traffic.

A little gem in District 1

Pros: Staff, breakfast choices and the rooftop bar area.
Cons: Room freshen up which I believe is happening later this year.
Location: Located in Bien Vue Street you have a great selection of bars and eating places as well as access to the central bus terminal 5 minutes away.
We were in Ho Chi Minh at the Duc Vuong for a total of 10 days after another staying there last year as well. The staff are a big part of the success of this hotel and are delightful to deal with while attending to your needs. Breakfast is now provided downstairs next door and starts your day off perfectly with a great variety of choices. The 8th floor rooftop bar and dining area provides a great view over the top of the city and a pleasant way to while to spend your time at night.

Would recommend to friends

Pros: Good location, great price, good amenities.
Cons: The beds were a bit hard, but this is common in Asia
we stayed here for 3 nights. The buffet breakfast was good. Plenty of restaurants and bars of all varieties in the same street. The rooftop bar/ restaurant was a welcome relief from the noisy street after a very busy day. Several little mini marts were great for snacks & essentials ( deodorant !!) The staff were a young friendly, engergetic and helpful lot. Tour desk to book day trips and tours.

This hotel is a find!

Pros: Staff were genuinely warm and helpful.
Cons: nothing - I thought it was terrific.
Location: Really busy part of town with lots of shops. Tours operate to nearby locations. We booked two with the agency on site and both were very good.
What a great little hotel. The staff were extraordinarily friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Rooms are small and humble as you would expect for that price but the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean, Hotel is on one of the busiest streets in one of the busiest cities in the world so I expected some noise but our room was quite quiet. Food for breakfast was excellent - wide variety, fresh and good strong coffee.

Great rooftop bar

2 night stay, bit of confusion about the bookings through wotif but was solved. Great rooftop bar with reasonable prices. Booked our train tickets through the office & was booked on the wrong day!!! Make sure you check everything. Great breakfast, overall great stay.

Fantastic location, price and service

We stayed at the Duc Vuong for 6 nights in June 2015. Everything about our stay was memorable. The hotel is reasonably proced and staff are absolutely amazing. The rooftop bar is fantastic - cheap food, cheap drinks on a picturesque rooftop overlooking the city. Would definitely stay there again if we return to Ho Chi Minh.
