Recently fully renovated clean rooms with good hot strong showers, large space, good A/C heating for those 5C Hobart spring (sometimes feel still like winter) mornings, friendly reception and restaurant staff - they give further discounts for in-room guests. Bonus is the large and firm bed for a good and quiet nights sleep. Highly recommend this reasonably priced Hobart decent hotel and bistro. Also short walks to Hobart Italian Australian Club and close Uber to Hobart CBD

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The only negative for us was from noise from the corridor as a group of late settlers squeezed the last half hour from their conversation before retiring. If you are lucky enough to not have them or settle after them or could sleep through an ACDC concert, then Black Buff's moves from good to excellent value.

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions now and I have always found the staff accommodating, friendly and willing to assist whenever they can. My only criticism from the last visit is that the driver and passenger of a white Ford Ranger illegally parked in a no parking bay next to my vehicle caused a substantial amount of scratching and damage to my vehicle door costing $800 to repair. Pity the parking rules were not enforced.

its a great base close to everything, if you're driving, my only issue, was the stairs and parking wasnt always able to park close, maybe a microwave would have been handy, meals were great!
