The room was unclean. There was human hair on the headboard over the bed and very thick dust on the fan covers. There was a sign saying fan must be used when showering but the fan did not work. Probably a good thing or the dust would have sprayed everywhere! The staff were courteous. The communal rooms where nice like the façade but the room did not seem like it belonged to same property. The toilet light didn’t work, it only came on with room light.

IWe loved the wonderful heritage building that had been fit out with all the modern conveniences. Very friendly staff and a good option breakfast. Easy walk to waterfront!

Very quiet and peaceful. Not a modern hotel, but clean and lovely. Not huge only 15 rooms. So great for something quiet and intimate. Historical property does not have usual modern conviences.

A very classy establishment that whispers stories of times long ago. Beautifully and tastefully decorated. Not a laminated surface in sight. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was big. We could do cartwheels. No fancy mod cons - but none needed. Everything required a short walk away. Beautiful. I’m already excited about staying here again.

From the moment I entered the reception, I felt welcomed. Staff accommodated my request for accessible room and offered to store my luggage. The room was clean and comfortable with lovely touches such as beautiful cups for tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent and check in and out very easy. Definitely recommend!

We spent 4 nights here over New Year We had a great stay in a very large well appointed king room Included breakfast was great Staff were amazing with special mention to Holly who was knowledgeable and friendly Would highly recommend

Couldn't fault anything during our stay. Lovely reception staff, great location, comfortable beds and surprisingly quiet at night given the location.

The staff at this place were lovely and welcoming. The building is a gorgeous colonial style building with period style furniture to match. Room was beautifully warmed up on my arrival. The room was a bit faded in its glory but had lots of character and the bed was comfortable. Only thing is despite the double glazed windows, i could still hear traffic noise. If you bring earplugs, it should be fine. Location is very convenient to eateries on Collins st and only 10 -15 mins to waterfront.
