I highly recommend this location! The property is stunningly beautiful and well maintained! The wide variety of trees and shrubs are so beautiful to walk around and look at and the place was just serene and peaceful. The staff we very friendly as well.

Gorgeous property amazing for big groups and family reunions. Downside is walls are paper thin and a couple above us was loudly intimate through the night and we had children in our room below us. No one was available at the front desk to help keep them quiet so we just didn’t sleep well and it’s super uncomfortable for what felt like a family friendly spot. Staff offered a late checkout but we were already planning to leave at original checkout time so we didn’t accept that offer to make things right. The resort has a lot of potential if they upgrade the customer experience.

Tahquitz Pines Retreat is the kind of place that feels like a step out of everyday life and into pure mountain calm. Our cabin was cozy, clean, and full of charm, with just the right mix of rustic touches and comfort. The bed was super comfortable, and the quiet surroundings made for some of the best sleep we’ve had in a long time. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, perfect for wandering or just sitting with a cup of coffee in the fresh air. Parking was easy, and we loved how close it is to town while still feeling tucked away in nature. Staff here really make the difference—warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure you feel at home from check-in to checkout. Overall: A quiet, scenic mountain getaway that balances comfort with rustic charm. Perfect for couples looking to recharge, reconnect, and breathe in that crisp Idyllwild air.

The Peak restaurant is excellent. We looked at others but dined there both nights. Good food, great staff.

Beautiful spot nestled in the mountains. The place we stayed in was perfect. The backyard was enclosed which is ideal for the pups. The pickleball courts are top notch! If i were to visit again i would bring a few things like dishwasher tabs, paper towels, wine opener etc... but we were very happy with our stay and very comfortable.the whole time.

The property was great. We stayed in the Family Cabin (only one available-booked late) that was in a duplex. Really nice. Clean, big front porch, table, chairs, microwave, little fridge etc. Property grounds were amazing. So much to do like swim, pickleball, basketball, walking, etc. The Peak Restaurant was amazing. Food was really good. Drinks were good. Staff was great. I only have 1 complaint out of the entire stay: The shower was way too small. Ladies, make sure you come hair free because you can't move in the shower and there is no way to shave. The shower is smaller than the shower in our camping trailer. No joke. They should've put the shower head on the other wall to make it bigger. It's tiny. The showers in the duplexes are anyhow. Not sure how the showers are in the hotel rooms or other places to stay on the property.

Beautiful all around. Loved the restaurant. Great spot to be, very relaxing. Great pool, little to cold, maybe because it was end of season. Totally recommend this retreat.
