Basic but passable. Unsatisfactory bed.

Basic but had all the amenities we needed for a 1 night stay. Some reviews say no hot water but we had two hot showers and had no issues. No toiletries is fine for a hostel but hand soap would have been helpful. Good location and parking available at the back of the property. Overall it was fine but two main issues: 1) we were both itching after sleeping in the bed - not sure if this is because of low quality bedding or bugs. 2) The lock box made it easy to check in but the front and back door isnā€™t locked, even at night so it didnā€™t feel very secure. Had I been staying alone I think I would have felt quite unsafe. There was a kitchen and lounge but we didnā€™t use them as the instructions didnā€™t indicate they were shared areas. Additionally, the green fire exit light in the room was very bright with the light off and so I slept with an eye mask. Only 1 thin pillow per person.

A fuir, une arnaque

ExtĆ©rieur sale (plastiques et vieille chaussette devant la porte, moquette du couloir trĆØs sale, cuisine crasseuse). Notre chambre avait une salle de bain pleine de moisissures. Nous l'avons signalĆ© et on nous a changĆ© de chambre. Nous avons Ć©tĆ© rĆ©veillĆ©s Ć  1h30 du matin par des gens qui essayaient de rentrer dans notre chambre. Le self check in permet au propriĆ©taire d'Ć©viter les plaintes en face Ć  face. TrĆØs mauvais rapport qualitĆ© prix. Une arnaque Ć  mon sens.

This was a quaint place to stay that was within walking distance of a cute cafe and shops. The wifi wasnā€™t very reliable unless you were near the closest outside wall, but worked well there. Overall, it was clean enough, the TV had cable, and the beds werenā€™t too uncomfortable. I would recommend staying here again!

Good location, nice room. Needs to provide instructions for using the TV and shower as we couldn't get either working on arrival - luckily met the cleaner 2nd day and he sorted the problems. No hot tap for the bathroom sink. Well equipped kitchen area for preparing meals. Good lounge with lots of comfy seating.

Avoid this place

Avoid this place if you can. We stayed in a 2bunk beds garden room. 0 wifi signal in the room. No hot water shower at all even have waited 10mins running it on. Only hot water from the tap. We 4 needed to hold our breath and run in a 1 minute shower after a long tiring hiking day, not fun at all! Will never stay again even it's free, let alone we paid Ā£90 for a night.

Good friendly accommodation

I stayed for 1 night in room no 2 which is located on the ground floor of the main building. This room is disabled friendly with a large ensuite bathroom. Self checkin process was straight forward. Room itself was spacious and clean. The chairs were a bit worn out but understandable for the price. Some noise transmitted from upstairs as people walked on the floorboards but did not bother me. Handy space at the back of the building to park the car. Overall I felt safe and comfortable. Handy bar/restaurant (Fiddlers) directly opposite the hostel serving great food.

Great little place to stay for the Loch

Great little place to stay. The room was clean and the ensuite bathroom was great - the shower is fantastic! It's in a good location with beautiful views and good places to eat nearby.

The hostel had a nice and clean private room for me and my friend. We used a lockbox system to retrieve the key when the owner sent over the lock code. Great location just down the road from the Loch Ness Centre and over the road from the bus stop

There are clear instructions provided by the staff for finding the hostel and entering the room. The staff is friendly as well. Flexible check-in. Can park car at the rear of the hostel. The room is clean and en-suite which is very good.
