An absolute gem!

We rented the 3 bedroom unit for our group of 7 and it came with a private rooftop area. Beds were so comfy, breakfast was basic and good, pool area was beautiful. It is about a kilometre from the busy Center of town. We enjoyed walking all around the island, but there are plenty of taxis if walking isn't your thing. There is a really nice beach a block away. Had a small kitchen that had the basics and we cooked a few dinners. We liked the quiet location and it's situated between town and Coco Beach. Staff were all wonderful and helpful- they booked our whale shark trip and it was perfect!

Deluxe apartments is a beautiful little gem, nicely nestled away from the downtown, but within walkable distance. The host and staff are very personable, welcoming, speak English, and are diligent at making sure that your needs are met. They are very accommodating, and respond quickly when any question or concern is raised. The unit we were in was decently equipped, and staff responded positively and quickly when we pointed out a few omissions. The bed was very comfortable and the large balcony surrounded by greenery was a great place for our morning coffee or afternoon board games. There is good water pressure and plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning and ceiling fan, provide the perfect amount of climate control for the room. The pool area is a nice little oasis that is very well maintained, and remains nice and refreshing through the day thanks to an abundance of palms providing some shade from the hot afternoon sun. The included Continental Breakfast is standard fare, but a more elaborate breakfast is available for a fee. The complex is within walking/hiking distance to Punta Ciricote, Punta Coco, as well as the main beach leading to the amazing sand bars. Highly recommend this little gem if you want to be close to town, but want something more serene and quiet for the evening/nights.

Pros: beautiful pool, public areas, shade, proximity to ocean/beach, dining options, cook was fantastic for paid breakfast and lunch. Free options were very basic but sufficient and tasty. Cons: no information given at check in, terrible housekeeping and we tipped every day-found cockroaches in the cupboards on day 8 and had to ask 3x to have the kitchen sanitized after they sprayed bug spray, 10 day stay and sheets only changed once. No blender or toaster in room as shown. Also so many travellers with large families staying above us and rooms are so noisy- we were woken up before 6 am daily. Front desk was not helpful with anniversary plans, bookings, or our concerns. At the end a lady front desk agent was wonderful but too little too late. We did not have high expectations -just wanted clean and friendly service. Would not return!

The apartment was lovely and staff were very friendly. Due to transportation, we arrived an hour before checkin, and they allowed us to use all the facilities including the pool until our room was available. Excellent communication throughout our stay.

This is an Amazing place. The Staff truely go out of their way to please. Walkable distance from town. The beach is just a block away. The pool is nice and clean. Cute basic breakfast and good coffee. Our deck had a private dip pool. Quiet and peaceful. Bikes to use. 10/10.

About a 30 minute walk to town by way of beach, roads flooded due to rainy season & Huracán Helene. They have an insight small cafe to get breakfast and lunch including great fries and burgers. Just a few minutes walk to beach and there’s a cafe Del Mar that sells food, smoothies, beer & cocktails, very good. Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. They will arrange taxis for you. Areas are kept very clean. We experienced Hurricane Helene category 1 during our stay. This hotel is well prepared with a generator and water. We even had wifi throughout. They made us feel safe and kept in constant communication about procedures for island/hotel. We loved this place.

Good location, friendly staff very attentive and quick to respond at any need ( store our luggagr a couple of hours when leaving property) and in general a very overall nice stay but it’s the attention to details that need to be taken care: -music too loud since 8 am till 8 pm.( some of us come here to rest, it’s a beautiful peaceful environment, don’t ruin it, put your music by the kitchen, at a low volume and it will be fine -Rooms need to be cleaned to perfection before guests arrive as well as every time cleaning is done any other day. Not enough kitchen utensils and way too small ( frying pans are a joke the size) I booked particularly this apartment to cook for my kids some mexican delicacies and I was not able. -room was very nice but it needs some maintenance ( paint in some walls is falling, door lock in slindiing door needs to be replaced ( wood where lock attach is literally gone , we couldn’t lock door, thankfully maintenance man came ASAP and fix it momentarily) -VIP SILVER member perk shall be waiting for us when we arrived and not given to us after complaining that room needs cleaning ( under the beds was very dirty) Nobody mention at time of booking that continental breakfast was offered so I brought coffee and bread. A nice stay that could have been a 10 if little details were taken care of.

This was our second trip to Isla Holbox. The apartment was close to the beach and town. Room was confortable and had everything we needed. Air conditioning was cold. The complimentary breakfast offered each morning was a nice way to start our day. Be sure to bring mosquito repellant. We went through 2 cans in 6 days. There were many flooded roads which made walking a bit of an obstacle course. I saw several locals with rubber boots to their knees to navigate the flooding . Be prepared and wear appropriate footwear. Beautiful beaches and friendly people. We made the decision our final 2 nights to leave the island in anticipation of Hurricane Beryl and mive inland. We were sad to go, but it was the best decision for us.

My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) spent a week at Deluxe Apartments Holbox. Overall, we had a nice stay and would recommend it. Pros: 1. Excellent location, one minute walk from the beach. 2. Staff was helpful in arranging transportation to and from the airport, and arranging a COVID test prior to our departure. 3. The apartment was clean and safe. Cons: 1. The pictures on Expedia show the terrace on the roof but do not mention that this is NOT a shared space, it is only available if you reserve the 3-bedroom units on the upper level. We had one of the 2-bedroom units on the floor level, and were told we could not access the terrace. This was disappointing, as it was not specified at the time we made the reservation. 2. There is quite a bit of construction happening on the property, so when we were relaxing by the pool, it was rather noisy. The construction area is hidden behind a fence, but it was rather loud and not very peaceful. 3. Although the hotel is not in a busy area, there are golf carts going by even during the night. We slept with the windows open and were occasionally woken up during the night due to the noise from outside. 4. As other reviews have mentioned, the breakfast is rather sparse. They had toast with butter and jam and Nutella, some fresh fruit (papaya and melon), some yogurt and granola, corn flakes and milk, and fresh orange juice and coffee, but the quantities were VERY limited and not enough for all of the guests.

The property had a very nice pool area and a very nice lanai/porch that we enjoyed every morning and every night, there was a nice breeze and wonderful tropical plants. There were mosquitos but we had expected that as this is a tropical island. The property was very quiet and we were all able to relax and sleep in every morning. The property is only 1 block from a beautiful beach that did not have the seaweed problem that they had farther into town. Please be aware if you book on Expedia you have to pay the property IN CASH (Pesos) when you are there, they do not take credit cards. We were able to get cash out of the ATM at the bank. They provide a small continental breakfast every morning (coffee, juice, cereal, milk, fruit, toast) The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Great place for the price.

Great apartment. Amazing beach! It was dusty though. Made us all sneeze. Someone needs to give it a through cleaning.
