The hotel was like being at home however the friendly people who worked there knew all the places you should go and even how much you should pay for a good buy. I was lucky that i stayed there twice during my travels and the second time was like coming home. I went to the grand bazaar and it wasnt worth if but on the way home i was lost whoch rarely happens.i called the hotel and was almost in tears. Tan asked where i was and told me where a taxi stand was and i was back there in 10 min. Honestly i didnt want to go home and im sure i will go back!

Great stay in wonderful and welcoming hotel

Wonderful 4-night stay at the Esans hotel. They were really proactive and responsive via Whatsapp prior to my stay. As I arrived really early in the morning, they let me store my luggage until I checked in in the evening. To my surprise (and absolute delight) they upgraded me from a standard room to a family room, which was huge, had a ridiculously comfortable king size bed, two armchairs, plus another two chairs and a table and a nice dressing table. Bathroom was big, with a walk in shower. There were lots of towels as well as shampoo and soap, etc. This is not a cold modern hotel, but has charming rooms decorated more traditionallly Turkish. And most importantly, everything was spotlessly clean. I walked around barefoot in the room and there was not a spec of dust on my feet. All the surfaces and the bathroom were spotless, too. The room was on the third floor, super quiet, I didn't really hear my neighbours and it was only one more floor up to the beautiful breakfast room with terrace and view of the Marmara sea. Breakfast was nice and plenty, typical turkish fare, so don't expect hot food, though there were always scrambled eggs. Everyone was super friendly from Bayram and his colleagues at reception, to lovely Sebo who was responsible for the breakfast and the cleaning staff I came across. Would 100% recommend, though be aware there is no elavator, which was not problem for me, but people with mobility issues might struggle.

We had booked room with window and road view. But they provided us small room in ground floor with no window. We asked for blanket but unfortunately they could not provide us. Worst experience ever. I used to travel a lot. And this is for the first time I have booked through hotels.com. And the breakfast experience was awful .Food was cold and very limited options. I won’t recommend it.

Excellent hospitality! This is a charming treasure that provides a wonderful Turkish experience. I felt like I was visiting new friends. The staff is very warm, attentive and eager to converse and please. It’s the warmth of a B&B with the services, comfort and amenities of a boutique hotel. Bayram was extremely helpful. (Ask him to book your spa experience!) The breakfast is delicious, diverse with so many homemade specialties- all served on a lovely rooftop balcony. Highly recommend. Rooms are small but charming and cozy, no elevator but good to walk stairs after all the good food. Room 202 is a very large room - double the others, if you need the space. Decor is a little dated but it only adds to the charm. And for the price, this is an excellent choice!
