The staff were absolutely amazing.!! From checking till checking out.! Superb .! Breakfast was so much to choose from and satisfying while watching the 360 degree views of the Bosphorus The room staff was so help and wonderful, they left lovely fragrances daily which made our stay feel like home. We were so central, the Istanbul transport system so easy to use and was literally 50meter away from the hotel The Sultanhan hotel is definitely on top of our list of hotels for our next trip .! I highly recommend Sultanhan Hotel if you want to be central to everything Istanbul has to offer.! E&J KOR

The staff was excellent and professional. The room was clean and the cleaning service was excellent. I especially love that the floors are wooden so they can be washed. The hotel was a short walking distance (probably around 7-10 minutes at a medium-slow pace) to Aya Sophia Masjid and the Blue Masjid. I especially recommend praying Fajr at one of the Masajid (especially Aya Sophia).

Great place. Really well located.

I wasn’t expecting much given how reasonable and well located it is; but boy did this hotel blow me away! It is beautiful with an old world charm. It’s location is amazing - walking distance to the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, etc with many restaurants right on its doorstep. The staff were also amazing. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get in until 2am but they ensured someone was there to check us in and help us with our bags. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Happy with hotel and service received

We turned up at the hotel around 8 am and were able to check in to our room, we were also offered complimentary breakfast in the hotel (not sure if that's because of hotels.com gold status or not) But it was helpful as it saved us a trip to the cafe. We only stayed in the city for 1 night as it was a stopover trip to our final destination but were happy with the hotel's stay and the service received.

This hotel is a tourist trap. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport is 3x more than a taxi! The hallway at night has no light, as a solo traveler female this was highly disturbing. The staff didn’t talk to me at all. The bath spa they have is a joke it’s in the basement where it’s a storage and staff break room, I had to decline it as I was ushered to the spa. All the prices are exaggerated! TOURIST TRAP!

We enjoyed our 4-night stay at Hotel Sultanhan while exploring Istanbul. The location is perfect, an easy walk to the major tourist sites (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern), and just around the corner from the Cemberlitas metro stop that provides convenient access to other parts of Sultanahmet and Karaköy. (It rained for our entire visit, so we took the metro multiple times every day—you can either tap a MasterCard or purchase a fare card for a slight discount. It’s less than $1 USD per ride and the trains come every 5 minutes. The system is very easy to navigate with GoogleMaps). The breakfast spread was extensive and the view, even through the rain, was amazing. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. We were initially in room 407, which was only OK. It was not as luxurious as the pictures had led me to believe. It also ran quite hot and had a slight musty smell. We were moved to a 5th floor room with a balcony that was much more comfortable, though still a little warm and the walls were a bit thin. One of the two elevators was also out of service during our visit. Our only other complaint was that the self-use spa was not worth it. For $45, we basically got to use the sauna for an hour. Perhaps it’s worth it to pay extra for the full-service hammam instead. Overall, we were very happy with this hotel for the price ($65 USD/night through Expedia felt like a steal).
