The carpet was disgusting and filthy. The mattress on the fold out sofa was so stained with old bodily excrement that it made me physically ill. This was the worst Mariott that I've ever stayed in.

Marroitt, Really?? Never Again.

Lack of service, assistance, cleanliness, and accommodation. And you have to pay to park after you pay to stay???? 3 desk people helping 1 person and leaving everyone else standing there waiting to check in with no acknowledgement. And after checking in online, showing 30 minutes later in person, waiting 15 mins to be acknowledged, told its an extra to park, the key card won't work to open your room door for another 20 minutes!!??!!?! What a ridiculous and horrible experience. I'm a Honors member for anothet hotel line, and this was the first time trying a Marriott stay....I will remain with the other chain. Never again with Marriott.

Staff was great. Property was clean and well kept. Room was comfortable and clean. The only complaint I have is I paid $17 for breakfast and was told breakfast started at 7am, and that worked as I would be checking out at 8am. But when I went down for breakfast at 7 there was nothing ready and when I checked out there was still nothing. I was traveling by Greyhound so it made it tough to get a good meal. But everything else was good.

Great Service at an Older Hotel Downtown

The hotel is a bit older and could use some upgrades, particularly to the AC and bathrooms. Our particular stay was not so great due to a number of loud spring breakers running up and down the halls and shouting from midnight to about 2 am. As I was on a business trip and needed to be up early, I finally called the front desk and things quieted down after that. As we were staying downtown, and not at the beach, we didn’t expect the rowdiness we encountered. Finally, I would like to note that the staff was exceptional. Services at the valet, front desk, bar and restaurant were way above average. If you need a decent place to stay on a budget, this hotel will certainly do the job.

The hotel was nice. We didn’t go to the bar but it was a very pretty area when you walk in. The river view was nice albeit a little impeded by the restaurant in front. The Chart House was a very nice place to eat though with amazing views so the whole experience was great. I had a very happy birthday weekend getaway!

The Staff & Service personnel were all excellent, friendly and personal. We had a Jr. Suite, but the Suite had no furnishings! (No extra bedding, no paper towels, no desk phone, no alarm clock, no wine glasses, no drinking glasses (other than paper/plastic), no utensils...just to name a few). Luck of the draw? ...our room was directly across from a family that brought their very large and loud dog...which barked for quite a long time. In addition, we experienced an Expedia issue - we were promised as part of our booking "a Jr. Suite with partial water view"...upon arrival, we were informed that ALL Jr. Suites were located on the 1st floor, therefore, we were not afforded the opportunity to have any water view!..which was a big reason we decided to choose Expedia.
