Tolerable for short stay

Nice location. But the cons, our room air conditioner is not really working. The room was smelly when we entered, found out it was the aircond problem. Had to complain twice for the aircond till they sent people to top up the gas. Room is a bit dusty.

Basic hotel, good for short stay

Was an ok room for just 1 night. Good shower, comfy bed but the staff didn't speak much English so asking for directions was a bit tricky. I also emailed them beforehand to ask about transport options from the airport but didn't get a response from them. It turned out to be about 1hr taxi ride from the airport. It's a 10 minute bus to the National Museum and Monument but not much else in the nearby area that we came across.

An OK place.

Room: Stayed in a double room. The size is ok; enough room to walk about. Room comes a stool, a counter/ study table and a big comfy bed. Oh, there’s also a safe. It doesn’t have a mini-fridge and a kettle. The hotel looks and feels very new, but the rooms and the corridor doesn’t quite look the part. But that didn’t ruin my experience at all. There was something quite annoying about my stay though. There was some kind of sound coming from somewhere. It sounded like a gear motor or a pulley of some sort. It can be quite noticeable but surprisingly, I was too tired to be affected by it. Which leads me to my next point - sound insulation. Noise insulation isn’t top-notch. Service: Front desk speaks decent English. However I was disappointed with their check out service. The receptionist could have asked me what am I queuing up for; it’ll only take 5 seconds to do that. In the end, I had to wait for the receptionist to finish entertaining the two people in front of me. And when it was my turn, it only took him 4 seconds to sort me out. “Check out?” “Yes please” “Thank you for staying” I had my room tidied up without my asking for it; it was fine with me. The water dispenser is a big big plus for me. Location Located along the ever busy Mangga Besar street. Cheap eats line the street as well as convenience stores. Taxis also run aplenty. The surrounding areas feel safe and “clean”, although sleazy areas can be found inside the myriad of alleyways.

Cheap, adequate, near culinaries & transport hub

I've stayed for one night. It's been a pleasure sleep if you don't need any special amenities and services from the hotel. Good bed, clean but small room, and the good one is you can walk around the hotel if you want to find great Medanese culinaries. Durian, pork, hainan, chinese foods, all around the hotel. Another good value is that the hotel is located near the Olimo Transjakarta Shelter, and just two stops away from Jakarta Kota MRT Station. It is recommended if you have to go around Jakarta using public transportation.

Unfair to Expedia customers

They try to 'push' the sub-standard room to Expedia's customers, maybe due to the low offer rate ? This is my experience on the 27/2 - 29/3/15. Booked via Expedia about one week ahead and request a high floor room. Check in on 27/3 about 3pm, they gave me a room at 3rd floor (305) and with a faulty air conditioner. Technician came to investigate but waited for almost 2 hrs, nothing has been done and they not even inform me what is the outcome of the repair work nor offer to changed room for me as I requested !! THE RECETIONISTS just don't care !! Finally after struggled for about 5 hrs, they changed me to room 205, with the window facing a wall which is about 3 feet from the window !. I wonder what have the hotel staff learnt regarding Hotel Hospitality from their Managers. I wasted about 5 solid hours just because of the Air conditioner !!

That 2 years old hôtel is like a20 years old and more. I was really désappointed about the clearing and the environment. More, it' s very difficult to Walk outside and find at least a restaurant. I will not recommand for people in solo without any transportation
