Children of all ages will be stoked about a trip to Holyland Model of Jerusalem. Take a well-deserved break while they wear themselves out.

If you are looking for an excellent family-friendly attraction, visit the Biblical Zoo, a well-regarded destination featuring a good variety of rare and unusual creatures.

The parks and gardens in Jerusalem make for an enjoyable spot to take a break from tourist sites. Discover the tracks in the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens or appreciate the scenery in the Wohl Rose Park. The Mount Scopus Botanical Garden is also a good rest spot if you find yourself visiting an attraction in the vicinity.

The Garden of Gethsemane is a pleasant green space to have a break from all that walking around. Alternatively, throw a Frisbee or simply watch the birds at Independence Park or Liberty Bell Park.

Craving a day out in nature? Then make sure you visit at least one of the local nature conservation areas and parks. Plan a trip to Mount Zion or Mount Herzl, a selection of recommended choices. If you still have some more energy to burn, check out Mount of Olives and Ramparts Walk.

Are you a big museum fan? It's safe to say, you'll have a ball in this destination. The Shrine of the Book and the Bible Lands Museum are both leading places to start. If you have some more extra time, we suggest you also visit the Agnon House Museum and the Isaac Kaplan Old Yishuv Court Museum.

The Bloomfield Science Museum and Jerusalem Bird Observatory are a pair of engaging indoor attractions in Jerusalem. Here, there are loads to see and do, including ever-changing collections and absorbing hands-on activities.

Jerusalem is home to a huge variety of natural history museums, where folks will find a diverse mix of historic objects and stories on display. Afterwards, if you're keen for more, the Jerusalem Archaeological Park & Davidson Centre and the Museum of Natural History Jerusalem are also well worth checking out.

Jerusalem boasts a thriving art scene, as illustrated by its fantastic range of galleries and exhibition spaces. Explore the L.A. Meyer Institute for Islamic Art and the Museum on the Seam. Hungry for more? Then why not sift through the Wolfson Museum and the U. Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art?

Jerusalem is home to many interesting historical museums that are sure to whisk you away on a trip back through time. You are bound to reappear from the Israel Museum and the Tower of David Museum of the History of Jerusalem with an abundance of new knowledge. The Ticho House and the Burnt House are also worth a trip if you have a few more hours to kill.

Whether you are a lover of history or just a curious visitor, you'll find plenty of sites to visit when you are visiting the area. You can spend at least a day checking out the Yad Vashem, the Lion's Gate and the Jaffa Gate. The Damascus Gate is another enjoyable site if you have some time left over.

Jerusalem has had its share of frays and battles over time. If you're interested in gaining a glimpse into these troubled times, head out and explore Golden Gate.

You need not be a religious person to take pleasure in the eclectic mix of religious sites in and around this area. If you're keen to have a look at one or two of these sacred sites, head on over to Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, followed by a visit to Church of the Holy Sepulchre or St. Andrew's Church.

This place has various other lesser-known attractions if you really want to get off the tourist track a bit. The National Library of Israel and the Jerusalem International YMCA are both decent options. You may also enjoy stopping at Rabinovich Park and Montefiore Windmill.
