Our stay at Aston Kona by the Sea was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, everyone we encountered was so warm and welcoming — the true spirit of aloha was everywhere. The property itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. The pool and hot tub were pristine and perfectly heated — an ideal place to relax after a day of exploring. The views were nothing short of breathtaking — every sunset felt like a postcard come to life. Housekeeping went above and beyond to keep our room fresh and comfortable; they paid attention to every detail and made us feel so well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful, friendly, and luxurious Hawaiian escape, this is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to come back! 🌺🌴

Okay, the location was awesome, right on the water. The view was also pretty good. The staff was very helpful with every request we had. They even let us check out an hour late which allowed the kids extra time to swim in the pool and shower afterwards. We always try to help the house keeping staff wherever we staff by tiding up as much as possible, even when places have a hefty cleaning charge. It's sort of our way of tipping. The room/condo had updated appliances and was completely free of insects. Outside the rooms did have some bugs but it's Hawaii, bugs are pretty much unavoidable. There was a covered parking garage there but it was sometimes tricky maneuvering into a spot with a SUV. All in all we really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay there again.

The room class that I had ordered was not available upon check in. A two Bedroom and ocean front. They gave me in a room that had a wall right in front of the best part of the view. My impression is they don’t place the Expedia reservations in a priority spot. I would call the hotel prior to arrival to confirm room assignment.

The property was in a quiet location just south of Kona downtown. Within 1.5 miles of Kona downtown and multiple eating options. We did not enjoy the parking! Depending on where you parked in the same parking lot (under the Blue signs or under the Black signs ) you either had 90 minutes free with validation of parking at a restaurant or a 50% off QRS Code which was $7.49 for 1 hour at a restaurant with the 50% QRS Code! Ridiculous! Because of Parking alone, it is most likely our LAST trip to Kona and the Big Island!!!!

This place is a 10 out of 10. Quiet, staff was friendly and helpful, condos were super clean and well laid out, and well supplied, such as real pots and pans made of stainless steel, some teflon, but not all. Right on the water and right in town. If I ever go back to Kona, this is the place I will stay for sure.

The outside property was beautiful. Landscaping was meticulous. Pool area was very nice, along with the sandy area outside fenced in pool. 3 BBQ’s were a bonus. Parking in underground area was a plus. Our unit needs some TLC. Carpet was worn a bit. Tile floors could have been cleaner, as I walk around in socks & each day they were dirty. Kitchen was pretty well equipped, but no pizza cutter or scissors. No measuring spoons either. We had housekeeping every 3rd day, but only one of the visits did the crew scrub floors and vacuum. It was the last visit of our 2 week stay. TV was tricky to figure out. Ocean view was perfect and watching boats & various activities going on in the ocean was a plus.

Pros: great views, quiet, not a lot of people, close drive to everything, clean pool area, most of the staff was great and accommodating Cons: dated rooms, room wasn't very clean to start, hassle with codes into every gate, mixed communication on towel washing, have to drive for food options Overall good stay, wish room would have been more updated and better cleaned to start. Great idea front suite. Very clean room and the staff was amazing. From the front desk to the housekeepers to maintenance, they were all awesome! Highly recommend this hotel.
