We have stayed in many hotels but sadly we won't be going back to this one. The premier room that we booked barely had enough room to get past the bed and TV, you struggled to sit on the toilet and the terrible smell coming out of the toilet was ghastly. The location is obviously excellent as were the staff, however this hotel needs a review of its prices and standards as they don't match up to what they charged.

Nice friendly staff, found strands of hair in the shower which was easily discarded. Breakfast was satisfying. Easy access to spa area and town the town centre was a stone throw away.

The room booked was a Superior Sea View with Balcony with website rooms in that category showing light airy and spacious rooms. The one we were allocated was dark, dingy and you have to turn sideways to move between the end of the bed and TV fixed to the wall and I am of average build. The bathroom floor and toilet seat cover were soaking wet and a slip hazard, so no attention to detail on cleaning and finally the room decor was damaged and considering they are supposed to have renovated 1 year ago this room had taken a good battering. The breakfast service was a buffet, they seemed unable to manage the numbers of people coming through, e.g running low or out of food, juices, cups for hot drinks. The location is ok but I would not consider this a 4* hotel sadly. It does have potential but currently not living up to that from an overall condition, service or decor point of view. We changed rooms twice, the 3rd was good, but you shouldn't have to keep going back all those times, a 4* hotel should have all rooms well maintained and of a good size to satisfy the room category being booked. I geel sometimes when you go through a 3rd party booking site you are treated less favourably than direct bookings which is wrong and I hate having to complain but it seems the only way to get a room as advertised. Take a bit of shine off your break away when you have to have these types of conversation.

The room was fine lovely view But it was the room service. I've never ordered it before but after a long drive we decided we would. Noone answered only to be told we would have to come down and order & get it ourselves and it would be a 2 hour wait. This was the bar staff not the reception staff who did try to help me. But that did frustrate us as this was 8pm

Amazing place excellent service highly recommended

Very happy with our stay, we traveled on the ferry late and arrived in Dover just before midnight, the hotel was very easy to find and only a very short drive for the ferry port, hotel was undergoing renovations and this was clearly sign posted in spite of this it was lovely inside and the to staff member on reception were extremely helpful and very accommodating, really great service. The room was fantastic!! 5 beds (which is so hard to get in lower budget hotels and we always struggle) very spacious room with comfort beds and great hot drink selection and even a fridge!. Bathroom was amazing very modern and clean with some great features and plenty of toiletries. Overall we are extremely happy with our stay highly recommended and will definitely be booking here again

Enjoyable stay in Dover

Lovely room with a balcony and view onto the harbour, and the staff were very friendly. Lots of renovation work going on when we visited, which inevitably detracted a little from the experience. The breakfast buffet was fine without being exceptional. We enjoyed the stay, however, and would certainly go back.
