The Maid of Iowa Room at the Mason House Inn pays tribute to the legendary riverboat that once navigated the Des Moines River, bringing commerce and travelers through Bentonsport during Iowa’s early days.

Located on the second floor of the inn, this inviting guest room comfortably sleeps up to three guests. It features an extra-long four-poster bed along with a twin bed, making it ideal for couples, friends traveling together, or a small family. Period-inspired furnishings, historic photographs, and classic details create a sense of stepping into the past while still offering a comfortable overnight stay.

The room’s private bathroom with shower is located just outside the room and is reserved solely for guests staying in the Maid of Iowa Room. A folding privacy screen is provided for convenience.
