The best night's sleep I had in my 10 days in Canada! The room was super spacious and well appointed, the bed was surprisingly luxurious and I was impressed with being provided bathroom amenities. Even dark blue towels labelled makeup! Prior to this I'd stayed in a five star in Vancouver but I actually preferred it here. The ONLY downside, and it's a big one if you're neither mobile nor steing is that it's a three story walk up. No elevator. So, I had to lug my 25kg case from Australia up and down myself. It's lucky I could as a small, solo female traveller. If you are solo and female, this hotel is super safe. Gob entey and apecial deadbolt key code to wnter your room. It's also very quiet.

Very nice room, very clean building. Mostly quiet, but you are in a busy area, some noise is inevitable. All amenities are within a block. Parking is only $3 at the city garage

Third time we stayed at this property- different room each time. Though we only stayed overnight each time, would recommend this property. Some things to note: Check-in is at the restaurant adjacent to the hotel. Those with mobility issues should note that there are no rooms on the ground floor and no elevator. Ask for a second floor room to climb the least amount of stairs. Street parking is available only from 9 am to 9pm; for overnight parking, you’ll have to use one of the paid parking lots a short walk away. Restaurants, River Run and Sleeman centre are very walkable. Perfect spot to stay if you are in Guelph for a concert.

Nice hotel. Weird to check in at the restaurant. And the bed was definitely not a queen as it stated on the booking. Was only a double. Also could not control the heat in the bedroom. It was too warm.

Charming, comfortable, and clean! Loved it!

We were in town for a dance competition; haven’t spent much time in Guelph, but wanted to be downtown, close to the venue. The Western exceeded my expectations. The building itself is full of character and charm, and was impeccably clean; the pride of ownership was evident in all of the common areas. The unit was perfect. Quiet, comfortable, and I always appreciate a fridge and coffee maker for easy mornings. The bath robes were a lovely surprise! The restaurant at street level was great for lunch, and grabbing a drink; this is also where we checked in to the hotel with one of the servers, who was very helpful. Everything was within walking distance, including the parking garage, where you can park overnight. If we find ourselves back in Guelph for a night or two, this will be where we stay again! Can’t say enough!

We’ve stayed here multiple times. Property itself is quite nice. There is no parking. They suggest using the public parking garage down the street. It’s always seemed kind of sketchy and our car got violently broken into during our last stay. I sent a note to the hotel and they failed to respond. Unless you don’t have a car don’t stay here.
