Cute historic cottage near town center. It's obviously family-owned and operated. The owner is always around and will greet you and be there for whatever you need. No corporate vibe at all. Our room was nice with a little kitchenette and balcony. The grounds are lovely and well taken care of. The lodge is walking distance to the main town center and waterfront. Enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend!

Charming B&B

A little bit tired. I booked a room in the main house and was put out in one of the rooms in the separate building. My room was very hot, sun streaming in till late which is nice but not when it is in the high 30's outside, no A/C, one of the window latches was broken so l had to sleep with it open all night, towels were mouldy and smelly. Swimming pool was not clean enough to swim in. The owner was very nice. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Lovely lounge in the main house.

Wonderful host but needs a couple of improvements.

The hotel owner and host was very welcoming and friendly. The general feel of this old colonial style house was tranquil and the gardens were incredibly well presented. Breakfast outside on the veranda was a lovely touch and the food was plentiful in choice and of good quality. The wifi had good connection throughout the main house and rooms and was a good speed. However, our stay was affected by two things that I am passionate about hence my average rating of 3/5. Firstly, on our first night the temperature and humidity were high and with no fan or air conditioning we were unable to get any decent sleep. The second night was much cooler and we slept well on a reasonable but not fantastic bed. Secondly trying to work the shower and get the correct temperature was an exercise in precision engineering and just when you thought you had it right something clunked and the water came through piping hot or freezing cold. It was simply inconvenient and frustrating. In my view a couple of minor upgrades would turn this place from a reasonable hotel into a very good one.
