The Space:
Thuis aan Zee is an apartment in the Tortuga complex in the Kralendijk neighborhood, offering beautiful sea views and 110 m² of living space. Zhung Kong supermarket is 500 meters away, Isidel Beach Park 300 meters, restaurant It Rains Fishes 10 meters and dive center Dive Friends Den Laman 200 meters. The apartment is located on the third floor and guests have access to a communal regular pool on the pool deck.
Guest Access:
As a guest of Thuis aan Zee you have access to the entire apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, the living room, open-plan kitchen, balcony and the pool deck with the communal pool. Facilities such as the washing machine and on-site parking are also at your disposal. To personally welcome you and give you a brief explanation about the apartment and our beautiful island, we handle all arrivals in person. The Sunwise hosts of the property will arrange the details of your arrival with you.
The Neighborhood:
Kralendijk center comes with the boulevard, jetties, sailing and motorboats on moorings and colorful facades: here you are right between restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. It’s ideal if you want everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling along the waterfront in the evening.
For divers and snorkelers, Playa is a great base thanks to quick access to west coast sites; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience and the shortest travel times to facilities in Bonaire’s main town, Kralendijk.
Getting Around:
Thuis aan Zee in Kralendijk is best enjoyed with a rental car, as Bonaire has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings. With your own car you can explore the island at your own pace, from remote snorkel spots and dive sites to local eateries. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The park’s roads are unpaved and can be rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transportation and taxis are limited, especially on busy cruise ship days.
Other Things to Note:
Check-in is from 3PM and check-out is by 10AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible on request, depending on other guests. Smoking and pets are not allowed in our accommodations, and we kindly ask you to keep noise down at night. Enjoy your stay at Thuis aan Zee!
