I love this hotel. I first stayed at Satriya cottages in the early 2000s and have enjoyed many stays since. I particularly like the staff; always friendly and helpful. The hotel is well maintained with a lovely pool and the food is good. A quiet oasis in a very busy part of Kuta. Highly recommended.

Great location and very friendly staff , close to beach, shops and restaurants. Hotel rooms are kept clean and gardens are nice. Needs some maintenance and up keep as buildimg is ageing but is a great stay for the price .

The cottage is in a convenient location, walking distance to many restaurants and a mall. The staff was pleasant but there are a few things I wasn't a fan of. They do not have elevators so be prepared to carry your luggage up some flights of stairs, the bottom rooms doors are not very secure. They can be open a good amount even if locked and there is always a crack in the door for bugs to get through. They do not have wash clothes, a blow dryer or conditioner.

The location is great for this hotel, right in the middle of everything, has its perks for sure in that regard, the hotel however in some parts is a bit rougher, it didn't bother me much but just little things like a flickering light, minor mould on curtains (it's the tropics, this is to be expected in small bits) doors that don't line up, toilet also played up, the staff are mostly very friendly and nice, generally all good people that we encountered, good breakfast buffet service every morning too, swim up pool bar in the main area and a more private pool down in the newer section (my room was in this section, I'm unsure of condition of the front main area rooms) a decent hotel that isn't too expensive overall
