6/10 Okay

If you're looking for a stripped-down ryokan experience than this would be the place. We opted for the regular beds instead of the futon on the tatami mats. The beds were rock hard! We left after that 1st night and moved to another hotel.

This was our first time in a ryokan, and we really enjoyed it. We found the staff very helpful. Their English was excellent, which was helpful, since our Japanese is limited. We only ate one Japanese breakfast in the hotel, but it was tasty. It was a great location, convenient to many places of interest.
