Firstly directions from Kyoto Station - come out of the Hachijo West exit of the station and look for the Avanti shopping complex. Cross the road from the station side and walk straight ahead with the Avanti on your left. Walk for about 6 minutes until you see a green sign with a P on it. Turn immediately right into the street opposite the sign. The hotel is a couple of doors down. This hotel suited our purposes. Close to Kyoto Station. We received a warm welcome and checked in without any issues. Yes, the room was small but there was space between the end of the bed and the door. We had 2 suitcases, one carry on size and the other medium size. We were able to put both open under the end of the bed. There is a sink in the room and toilets are just down the hall. The bathrooms are on the ground floor. Bed was comfortable and the WiFi good. I liked the fact we could open the window for fresh air. On reception level there is plenty of communal seating where you can make tea and grind beans for coffee. There are also tables and chairs where you can bring your own food. If you’d like to make a cuppa in your room there are kettles you can borrow. We stayed 5 nights and would definitely recommend.

This hotel is great. It was close to the train station and check-in was very easy. The rooms were clean and well laid out. They provided free coffee and tea in the lobby and the atmosphere was lovely to sit and enjoy. The public bath was clean and very nice.

This hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, and is steps from a subway station and bus stop, and about a 7 minute walk to Kyoto Station and a mall. There are a few restaurants nearby. To echo other reviews, the room is small; it would be great for a solo traveller, but if you're two people, it works as long as you're organized. The shared washroom on our floor and the public bath/showers were always clean. The public bath closes midday and late at night for cleaning but this was never an issue for us. Laundry machines were free to use. Tea and coffee were available from morning until evening around 11pm when the common area closed. The hotel does not provide as many amenities as others like skin care and toothbrushes. Overall it was a comfortable stay!

Walking distance to Kyoto Station. Great value. Small room with sink only. WC on same level as room and shower with onsen at level 1. There is coffee beans and nice assortment of tea provided. Highly recommend this hotel if you don’t mind a small room which is not ensuite.

Washer and dryer needs some work some dont work and dryer doesnt dry clothes but other than that great facility for the price and will recommend esp for solo traveller

I could not find my reservation through the tablet for check in. There was still a staff so he could find my reservation through his computer but I could have stranded that night without a place to stay.

Conveniently located within walking distance of Kyoto Station. Rooms are small but clean and everything worked great. I liked the free coffee and tea on the main floor.
