Beautiful property with spacious rooms and great onsen. Superb location close to subway station and only 1 stop from Kyoto JR station. The 2pm checkout was great and although I arrived prior to 5pm check in, I could store my baggage easily and get exploring. The bath and sauna rotate daily between men and woman eg Women have sauna and men have spa. Next day this swaps so men have sun and women have the spa! When staying multiple nights you get to experience both! There are many restaurant close by from McDonalds to Pizza to Ramen. Great location 👍

Beautiful hotel with unique, modern rooms and a great staff. Our favorite of our two-week stay by far. Very foreigner friendly and one of the more upscale hotels we stayed at. Rooms are gorgeous and feel very private. Great onsen, although worth noting it switches genders every day (so women can access one day, men the next). The "off" gender gets access to the sauna, which I did not try. Location is good, in the middle of everything with great transit options, but not in a very touristy area and not too many attractions directly walkable. Subway access is easy (<5 blocks either direction) but the stations in Kyoto can be quite confusing to navigate, so plan your routes on google maps before you leave the hotel.

This was the high light of our trip. We could not have asked for anything more. The service was so good, the breakfast buffet was delicious, the rooms where very nice and also very clean. They also had a lovely onsen and sauna, that would rotate male/female use every second day. We can't wait to visit Japan and stay at Sequence in Kyoto again! Well done Sequence and thank you for everyone on staff.

A last minute change was for the better

This was the perfect spot for accessibility to public transportation for traveling Kyoto, was relatively central to all the destinations in Kyoto we had in mind. Was near convenient stores and local restaurants that were the hidden gems on our trip. Room was enough space to stay comfortably for about a week and the spa/ bath house was a part we didnt expect to use but ended up loving and using every day. Most staff speaks great English and are very friendly and helpful with area recommendations. After needing to change hotels and book here last minute, this place made our visit to Kyoto much better then how it started. Would definitely book again

It's nice hotel with excellent facility, located in good location. The price to value is great! Convenient for shopping, dinning by walking distance, or less than $10 taxi to all the places we want to go. The sunna and hot bath is a bonus too.

It would be nice if the staff can be more attentive with the customers. The check in was a bit complicated and long as it is self service. The room was very spacious and it had many outlets and USB ports to plug in devices. The amenities were very nice.
