Great hotel with Onsen!

A great hotel to come back to after a fun day of exploring Kyoto! It has an Osen for you to enjoy and great food places to enjoy. There are 2 supermarkets for you to get some snacks. The hotel also provides comprehensive maps and is located close to Nijō castle

Good facilities, but unpleasant room

The hotel had some perks, it was close to the train station and Nijo Castle. had pleasant staff and a huge shower. The public bath was nice, however we would have appreciated it if they allowed tattoos in there, as my husband missed out on the experience. The room itself though was terrible. It was not sound proof at all, so all night we could hear trains, traffic and people walking and talking in the corridor outside the room. It was very small, the fridge was very noisy and the glass door on the bathroom meant that that all night we could see the flashing lights from the bidet. In the end we were unable to get a good night sleep during the whole 5 nights we were there.

Nice size room

The room was a good size compared to some in Japan and very clean and modern. The bathroom door was glass, which we weren't expecting. The internet was also a little intermittent, which staff said was only on our floor. Apart from that the room was great. The hotel is convenient for buses to most attractions and there is a jr and subway station nearby.
