Hotel Alicia was an easy walk to the centre of La Fortuna and lots of restaurants. Our room was small, but clean with comfortable beds, with a large separate bathroom. I would have liked a lamp on the bedside table as the lighting in the room wasn't that good. The breakfast was excellent, with a choice of four options, that was freshly cooked for you. The staff were very friendly and helped us book a trip to a local hot springs which was much appreciated. An excellent hotel, especially if you are on a budget.

I loved my stay and the price. Clean room. Nice staff. The only thing was the dog barking on and off all night next to room 5. The room with a kitchen. It was a private property and the dog was barking on and off all night long and it was completely an utterly annoying. The breakfast was good. I like the place. I was really happy I stayed here. Sure it's not the most flash place around, but it's competitively priced and has a very homey feel. If you're looking to experience the area around La Fortuna and not looking to be extravagant with accommodations, I recommend this place.
