The superior rooms are very close to the highway and it was LOUD. Woke us up many times a night- big trucks & bikes without mufflers Room stunk from the drain in toilet room. The shower drain wouldn’t drain and maintenance had to come clear all the hair clogging it which grossed me out. For the price that shouldn’t be happening. Maintenance left a mess from muddy boots which isn’t a big deal but We asked for cleaning and came back 5.5 hours later to still the muddy tracks through the room.

The grounds and hot pools are amazing! Loved it. Our room was great but very loud. I could hear a little child walking upstairs. I would ask for a room on an upper floor. Otherwise we loved our stay.

Pros We had a wonderful time at Los Lagos. The property and hot springs were amazing. The breakfast was also very good. Each evening we dined at the restaurant and food and service was excellent Con’s We were not totally satisfied with our room. I didn’t care for the sink design and there was only one chair in the room. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly. Our room was alway humid and the fan from the air conditioner was noisy. Otherwise we had a great stay at Los Lagos !

Extremely basic room (definitely overpriced). No amenities at all. Breakfast buffet was standard. The pools were overcrowded and did not seem clean. Was NOT a comfortable stay and wouldn’t recommend.

It’s only a short drive from La Fortuna and many tours and activities. Within the resort, you have access to several hot spring pools and 2 regular pools with slides for the kids. There is also a viewing point of the volcano. The room is a little outdated.
