Marriott Hotels & Resorts - accommodation in La Jolla

This property is a beautiful complex. Lovely grounds, nice pool, nice restaurants, upscale rooms. That said, it’s expensive. Food and drinks on site are delicious but a bit overpriced. For example, the breakfast buffet is $45 a person without any alcoholic beverages and cocktails at the pool are around $20. We went there for our honeymoon and it was a very nice homebase for the week. Easy trip into the town of La Jolla to eat or into San Diego or Temecula wine country or even across the border into Baja California. There were a few times I wish the staff would have been more helpful but overall, it is a nice resort.

We got a great deal on the La Jolla Shores waterfront hotel, with a pool and hot tub! The price reflected the age and work that needed to be done. The food at the hotel restaurant was good but we didn't always have good service, and it was painfully slow! Otherwise, we had a nice, large room and bath area with a view looking down the coast, which is what we wanted!!

We only stayed one night in and out from the airport. Our original room was close to the elevator, but the front desk staff was very accommodating & switch us to a different room, one floor up with a partial ocean view. Walking distance to great shops and the ocean. Hotel is in the midst of renovations, but everything was in its place and we received an updated room. The pool is quaint with a nice lounge. It would be helpful to have Coffee closer to front desk. There is a fitness facility, but it is offsite. Parking is limited.
