It has a great view of the lake, and its gardens are beautiful. The room where I stayed was mostly or completely made of real materials. I loved it. Staff was amicable, and I spent a great time at the property. I am looking forward to go back to Santa Maria Resort.

Very clean and quiet and beautiful. We stayed in the room with a king size bed and the only negative was no comfortable sitting area other than the terrace. There was plenty of room for a pair of chairs and table.

Just one small glitch in a lovely stay . . .

It was our third stay at this hotel, and we find it a perfect place for a romantic getaway. The rooms are comfortable, the gardens lovely, the food in the restaurant excellent, and everything wonderful for a relaxing visit. We will be going again. The only downside of our visit this time was a confusing new policy of requiring a cash deposit to keep a tab open for charging food at the restaurant to our room. This we did, and were assured that if the charges exceeding our deposit, that we could simply pay the difference at check-out. Thus we were very surprised by a knock on our door at a very inopportune moment in the evening that we needed to pay for our dinner because the charge exceeded the deposit. This was the only downside of our visit, and because of what appears to us as a poorly thought and executed new policy by management. In spite of that, it was a lovely way to spend Valentine's Day for the two of us.

Property, staff and food were superb (7-8 April 2022). Orbit’s property description of Hotel, etc needs updating It said no sheets ( bring ur own), it had nice sheets and bedding. Said toiletries, no such items. Overall a wonderful setting, with beautiful pool, grounds and proximity and ocean view. Front desk personnel seemed overwhelmed with just two guests at ck in counter and phones ringing. It also said no on-site pkg, which it did. Maybe it meant no covered pkg, which would have been correct. Overall a wonderful experience.

It’s a beautiful place to stay and relax. Unfortunately, they neglected to tell us that both the pool and the restaurant were being remodeled. So listening to the construction noise was very unpleasant. And the food was being served outside, which is lovely, but that evening was very cool, so we ordered room service. We were still charged full price. We would definitely go back there, but would have to be reassured that the remodeling is completed.
