30 kilometres from the heart of Lagarterita is the Radisson Summit Hotel and Golf Panama. An alternative is the Gamboa Rainforest Resort, which is 25 kilometres away.

Everyone knows New Zealanders know how to relax, so consider extending your stay and check out the Museum of Natural Science, Fiesta Casino and Independence Square, in Panama City, 40 kilometres to the east of Lagarterita. The San Francisco Apartments and Waldorf Astoria Panama are some of the great short and long-stay alternatives in Panama City. Or, you could stay in El Valle de Anton, 60 kilometres to the southwest of Lagarterita, where you can pick from the Los Mandarinos Boutique Spa and Hotel and Hotel Rincon Vallero.
