I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The rooms, including the lobby, are clean, and welcoming. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Everyone operates professionally and this also made me feel more secure. The buffet breakfast each morning was varied to an extent with eggs being the only constant. Nevertheless, it was always tasty. I especially loved the inclusion of arepas, empanadas and other types of Spanish cuisine. I therefore was able to choose between these and regular types of bread since I wanted to know about the culture. The hotel is also in a good location. The only minor drawback was my room because the view that I expected was not what I got. I preferred privacy to the view of hotel rooms across the street and a restaurant below. That was an awkward situation.

The room was very spacious, neat and clean, linens and towels were changed on request. Every attendant asked to make sure we were ok and we're very helpful. Courtney calls were made to our room to ensure all was well and to find out if we needed anything. The front desk staff all spoke English and we're very warm and welcoming.the pool settings was nice with the greenry surrounding adding a nature touch. The breakfast was the highlight for use with a wide variety to choose from. Although we tried to sample everything we just couldn't, most of what we had tasted great, I really enjoyed their hot chocolate and yoghurt while my husband enjoyed their soup, seasoned cheese and natural orange juice. Overall our stay was enjoyable and comfortable, whenever we are visiting Panama again we will definitely stay at Riu Plaza again and we encourage you to do too.

I stayed in room 316 and the room had mildew and smelled very bad. I told the staff about the status of the room and all they offered was a deep clean. There was dust on the night stand and spider web on the labs. There was too much moisture in the room. The food and drinks were okay.
