Shangrila Mactan is the best resort that I have stayed! Room is perfect, has niece yard and seaview, plenty of dining options, wide variety of dishes during breakfast buffet, staff are courteous and friendly, beach is wide, swimming pool is perfect for kids and adults, has wide and beautiful front yard, lobby is also large. Even basic amenities are the best: tootbrush, slippers, bathrobes, towels. Overall 10/10

The resort itself is pretty amazing and service was excellent including onsite medical care. But it's far from anything it you need any supplies from the cebu city area, about 1hr each way by car. Our room was basic and fine, but one light did not work and the tv had poor image and sound. Though we didn't use it much, it was annoying when we did.

The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, the beach is better than the rest of resorts in the area. Housekeeping is amazing especially Roldan(the staff assigned to clean our room).

This is a hard review. The property is great, and the people/service were amazing and deserve a 5 star rating. That said, the problem is that this is a high end resort, and at that price point comes higher expectations, and the food & drinks did not live up to it. Their cocktails were watered down and just not very good, and we tried a bunch of them (Pina Colada, Margaritas, Rum punches, Mai Tais), you name it, if it was on the menu, we tried it, and they were all just disappointing. For the prices charged, I expect the food to be better, and the drinks to be well made and stronger. I settled on a 3 star rating because the property itself is very nice, maybe a bit dates, but classically well done. The service and staff were fantastic (especially the club lounge servers!). The food and drink elsewhere was, with few exceptions (the Korean night chef was fantastic), not very good.

Hotel is great and all the amenities that are available in there. Lots of options for breakfast and staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s not really anything to do outside of the resort and prices in the restaurants and bars on site are expensive for the Philippines. If you like resort holidays it’s an amazing option.
